Develop and drive robust upstream workflows for effective AAV or mRNA production. Analyze internally or externally generated experimental data using standard process development tools. Work with cell cultures ranging from shake flask to 200L operations and optimize said operations for maximum yield. Design and test process control strategies. Interact with the client partner on a daily or weekly basis to analyze their existing process for transferability and scalability.Requirements PhD in Bioprocessing, biochemical engineering, pharmaceutical science, chemical engineering or equivalent. 3-5 years of work experience within bioprocessing, academic or commercial scale process development. Demonstrable proficiency designing and troubleshooting upstream process experiments. Demonstrable proficiency with wave, stir tank, perfusion bioreactor systems. Familiarity with developing upscaling processes for mRNA therapeutics, viral vectors (AAV, Lentivirus, Retrovirus) or cGMP grade pDNA.Desired Qualifications Experience in performing tech transfer processes. Comprehensive understanding of cGMP requirements for biomanufacturing or pharmaceutical industries. Familiarity in working with HEK293T / SF9 cell lines in single use bioreactor systems.
