About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in production organization as a technical resource for operations personnel, applying technical skills to optimize plant operations, resolve plant problems, and enable safe and efficient production of low-cost, quality products. The candidate will work with internal and external subject matter experts to implement the best practices that drive positive changes onsite. The candidate will spearhead the implementation in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for the site in collaboration with a global team.





We want someone who is inquisitive, analytical, data-driven, and process-oriented, possessing experience or knowledge in plant automation and robotics, with the work location being the Tuas West manufacturing site.

Responsibilities:

Act as a resource to guide teams on applicable process technology, equipment and control technology. Works with plant personnel to meet/exceed business and plant specific goals (safety, quality, reliability, cost, etc.)


Lead and participate in safety and quality investigations. Drive root cause analysis to identify contributing factors and implement sustainable corrective improvements.


Own part of plant specific KPIs and trends. Lead teams of associates to identify and implement continuous improvement for quality, yield and productivity.


Implement and support MES solutions to monitor and control production activities, ensuring real-time visibility and tracking of manufacturing operations


Provide technical support and training to production staff and stakeholders on MES functionalities and best practices


Understands and applies Statistical Process Control (SPC) skills and knowledge in manufacturing process, accountable for the manufacturing quality performance of responsible products.


Lead production process automation control upgrade and modification for product/process improvement


Network with other engineers and experts globally to leverage knowledge and best practices on plant operations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical and Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, or Automation control background.


Minimum 5 years of working experience in a manufacturing or industrial facility.


Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified.


Knowledge and experience in powdered metal processing and or plastic injection molding is an added advantage.


* Experience in the implementation of MES processes like Traksys, IP21 will be preferred.
