THE EMPLOYER: Global MNC in chemical process LOCATION : Jurong West Attractive perks: Ave 3 months bonus + meal allowance + full medical reimbursement + dental claims etc. PROCESS ENGINEERS Respo THE EMPLOYER: Global MNC in chemical process LOCATION : Jurong West Attractive perks: Ave 3 months bonus + meal allowance + full medical reimbursement + dental claims etc. PROCESS ENGINEERS Responsible for implementation of production processes and procedures, leading productivity improvements with project-based activities, including new product introduction (NPI) and process optimization to reduce waste, improve quality and safety, and reduce operating costs. Manage KPIs and ensure preventative actions are taken to maximize success. Work on many phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity, with results impacting on project completion. Work under general supervision, reviewed at project milestones and/or on completion by Senior Management. Responsibilities: 1. Monitor, enforce and comply with the site production procedures so that housekeeping, cGMP, quality, safety, occupational hygiene and environmental protection requirements are met to: . Support / facilitate self-inspections. . Co-ordinate for plant pre-audit preparation. . Ensure that timely closer of preventive and corrective action. 2. Raise Engineering change control and governing existing/new design systems and processes reference to 4M and 1E methodologies (pls indicate on CV) and provide facilities & methods to ensure the cost-effective integration of new products or for the improvement of existing ones into manufacturing operations 3. Lead and provides specialist advice to other departments and subordinates for: a. Trouble shooting / Investigate production and process issues / continuous improvements to processes/ systems providing technical support and training b. Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements and equipment layout c. Carry out FMEAs, (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) process documentation and implement improvements 4. Define user requirements and provide input to the project team of capital projects as well as support and develop improvement projects / activities in ensuring all product and system requirements are taken into account from the initial product conception to the finished result. Develop and implement the process procedure for newly installed equipment 5. Monitor and enforce compliance measures (including safety) within production processes to ensure inspection readiness of plant, as well as participate as an audit team member in the conduct of audits. Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, or processes and systems. 6. Supervise, develop, and motivate junior staff to help realize their maximum potential to contribute towards achieving the objectives of the department 7. Contribute to the development of the annual operating budget of the section to ensure achievement operational targets of section 8. To lead customer complaints and deviation investigations and ensure that all relevant corrective and prevention actions are completed within the agreed timeline. 9. Direct and control the implementation of the Operation Excellence System for Engineering department DECISION MAKING Proposals & Recommendations . Proposal on plant improvement and resource management. Lead and/or support technicians and trainee engineers REQUIREMENTS : Professional . Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree preferred . At least 5 years engineering experience in the food or related manufacturing industry Technical . Experience of FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis), Kaizen/A3 (continuous improvement and problem solving) process improvement and Poka Yoke (error proofing) techniques . Good understanding of various industrial standards . Knowledge of best practices in engineering plant commissioning . Good understanding of GMP and SEHS requirements . Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers . Be an effective team member, working with supervisor and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow with maximum output . Train people within own work group Business . Basic Project management skills .
