Job Description


This position is responsible for providing Health, Safety and Environmental support within the Company in Singapore. He/she will also be responsible with the implementation of safety and environmental policies and procedures within the Chemical plant. Perform the duties of the Energy Manager (EM) as outlined by the Energy Conservation on Act (ECA) and its implementing regulations, the Water Efficiency Manager (WEM) as outlined by the Public Utilities Board (PUB), and the Greenhouse Gas Manager (GGM) as outlined by the Carbon Pricing Acts and its implementing regulations.

  • Working Days: 5 Days, Monday to Friday
  • Working Hours: 8am - 5pm
  • Salary Package: Starting salary per month depending on experience, AWS + VB + QIB and Benefit
Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for GHG NEA audit
  • Form partnerships with stakeholders with aligned goals to reduce GHG emissions in the supply chain.
  • Update and get approval when changes are made on the monitoring plan, procedure, source, and stream.
  • Conduct internal audits in assessing the company\'s Energy Management System, GHG verification, and related management schemes.
  • Responsible for Water Efficiency Management Plan
  • Routine check on water meter readings every month and submit to Finance and SP group. Collect water usage data from operations on a monthly basis.
  • Arrange and coordinate with PUB for the bi-monthly site visits.
  • Responsible for WEMP submission.
  • Manage company\'s utility
  • Generate and monitor utility budget.
  • Gather information about how much energy and water each department uses and analyze it on a regular basis to look for patterns and trends using a regression model.
  • Report during the monthly operational meetings about the previous month\'s energy consumption, performance against benchmarks, and raise awareness about the need of reducing energy use, carbon emissions, and water usage.
  • Energy efficiency plan and project
  • Shall develop and monitor environmental management practices and programs that support sustainable development.
  • Prepare official proposals for each of the new projects, including estimated costs and anticipated savings in energy.
  • Coordinate with the operational departments to go through the project execution process.
Monitor and direct the execution of both short-term and long-term programs and strategies designed to reduce energy use.

Requirements:
  • Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) certification is compulsory.
  • Able to demonstrate the working ability to calculate GHG emissions based on internationally recognized methodologies.
  • At least 3-5 years experience managing GHG emissions in the relevant industry
  • Prior experience working in the chemical industry is an advantage
