Job Description

The successful candidate will be part of our Procurement team. He/She will procure ground and cargo handling services for Singapore Airlines and Scoot (cargo handling only) stations at the best value through active sourcing and diligent negotiations, and work with stations and Airport Operations Department to ensure that SIA\'s high service and quality standards are consistently delivered by the service providers.Key Responsibilities

• Cost savings and/or cost avoidance in contracts that cover a) Ground Handling (Passenger + Ramp + Aircraft Interior Cleaning [AIC]) and Cargo Handling
• Negotiating with service partners on contractual terms and conditions prior contract award, renewal or amendment.
• For new stations, negotiate for services to be provided to SIA and also for the best service rates.
• Review requests for rate adjustments and secure necessary approvals from Approving Authorities in a timely manner.
• Cost and Service comparison with potential alternatives. Evaluate options and communicate with stakeholders on preferred options before submitting final recommendations to Approving Authorities.
• Regular review of existing contracts one year prior to expiry or every two years for open-ended contracts.
• Keep constant look-out for new viable suppliers, or alternative options that may be available.
• Ensure that all market reviews and RFxs conducted are in compliance with the guidelines as set out in the Procurement Manual.
• Seek approval for appointments and contract variations in a timely manner.
• Ensure that terms deviating from the standard agreement and/or Service Level Agreement are referred to Legal/Insurance Department/BUs.
• Contract administration which includes signing and uploading contracts into central repository
• Resolve operational issues to avoid disruptions to operations.
• Coordinate with stations and suppliers to ensure nil disruptions.
• Exert influence on service providers\' commercial team to fulfil contractual obligations in relation to SLA.
• Participate in ops meetings where required to support stations.

• A degree in any discipline
• Previous experience in ground and cargo operations would be beneficial
• Knowledge of legal and insurance concepts would be beneficial
• Some financial background, commercial experience and contract management would be helpful
