Job Description


We currently have an exciting opportuning for a Procurement Manager to join our team in dnata, Singapore. This role will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the procurement of products and services. In addition to this, the Procurement Manager will strategize for cost effective arrangements, ensuring commitment to good procurement ethics and compliance. They will also execute and maintain the Procurement agenda to support the realisation of the overall business and sustainability strategy and direct, control and lead procurement projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Have complete understanding of and adhere to dnata Catering & Retail policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all Group workplace safety, security, and health policies and procedure
- Provide spend analysis & reporting in constant search of prioritised cost saving opportunities and tracking of realised purchasing cost savings
- Expertly develop successful relationships across all levels of stakeholders, internally and externally
- Establish and support Procurement\xe2\x80\x99s internal profile as a function that delivers excellence in commercial insight, communication and change management
- Conduct independent internal audit programs, which review the costs in areas of food and non-food purchases of the business to detect potential cost savings
- Develop and implement strategies for procuring goods or services, maintaining stock levels, and planning for contingency through alternate sources of supply for critical and single source products\\Ongoing review of a multi-year category management strategy to ensure that the benefits sought from vendors are both delivered and optimised
- Identify and research potential new suppliers, goods and services both locally and internationally
- Study and monitor local and global trends of supply shortage to alert and mitigate possible obstacles without sacrificing service, quality or availability
- Invite, assess, negotiate and award/recommend supplier tenders, bids, quotations, and proposals
- Establish and negotiate contract terms and conditions with suppliers, and integrate processes and contracts
- Manage vendors to deliver on contract requirements including qualification, targets and continuous improvement
- Monitor and review supplier performance with respect to price, service and quality, ensuring periodic review of better alternatives locally, regionally or globally
- Drive purchasing behaviour towards compliance and maximum savings from increased application & enforcement of policies & guidelines, standardisation, processes and technology investments
- Proactively seek and identify opportunities for efficiencies and synergies, collaborating with other Emirates Group/ dnata entities wherever possible and benchmarking performance
- Oversee performance and development of direct reports
- Motivate and inspire team members by creating an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort
- Carry out additional duties as may be reasonably requested by senior management

- Tertiary qualifications in relevant field; CIPS qualifications preferred
- Demonstrated success in a similar role
- Experienced procurement professional with 10+ years\xe2\x80\x99 relevant experience in the function. Of which, a minimum 5 years in a procurement management role managing purchasing spends of $30+mil annually, ideally in the food manufacturing industry
- Deep understanding of the end-to-end procurement process, and the commercial maturity to adapt to the market conditions
- Proven track record in achieving savings through strategic sourcing
- Expert influencing and negotiating skills with a demonstrated ability to adapt personal style to suit a varied audience and a variety of interpersonal styles
- Demonstrated capacity to influence stakeholders and facilitate change, including challenging the status quo and a willingness to think outside the square and deliver innovative solutions
- Demonstrated ability to build strategic supply alliances and apply a continuous improvement view that results in enhanced profitability
- Energetic leader and trusted commercial advisor, with an absolute commitment to good procurement ethics and compliance
- Good working knowledge of ERP and procurement systems
- Leadership capabilities with demonstratable experience of managing teams of two or more
- Financial competency to devise, execute and manage own budget
