We're hiring a Procurement Manager

We're looking for an experienced Procurement Manager with a proven track record of advanced negotiation, contract review, and execution skills. Detail-oriented and self-motivated, you will utilize these skills to drive supplier activities through all external and internal processes.Procurement at ExpressVPN is a strategic and data-driven function that is in an exciting growth phase. You won't be in the doldrums of mundane repetitive work, but will instead drive strategic initiatives across our organization, special projects and more.

What you'll be doing (responsibilities)

  • Procurement support across the organization:
  • Build trust and credibility across the organization with ExpressVPN's leadership, stakeholders, and cross functional teams
  • Provide a superb level of support with outstanding stakeholder management skills; You are a team player with a knack for needs and goals determination, but can also influence and push back to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Drive projects to identify and consolidate suppliers across our multiple organizations
  • Create and run OKRs for managed area, targeting process & system improvements, as well as cost optimization
  • Support organization-wide reporting
  • Supplier management and planning:
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize managed area
  • Strategy development and execution for new purchases and renewal negotiations, supplier issue management, varied strategic projects, etc
  • Perform market research
  • Hold potential and current suppliers accountable with performance reviews
  • Manage supplier activity timing. Close activities quickly and efficiently based on the spend level and complexity
  • Risk Mitigation
  • Review and negotiate contract T's & C's
  • Coordinate closely with partner functions such as Legal and Finance
  • Identify opportunities for risk mitigation and drive solutions
  • Data Analysis
  • Perform data analysis on supplier bids, strategic sourcing strategies, etc. to objectively show the measurable value
  • Build analyses transferring complex data into a simple visual format that can be reported to leadership to clearly articulate the desired communication
  • Ability to read data analysis models, derive conclusions, and develop a strategy based on the data

What you'll need to succeed (required skills)

  • Strong understanding of procurement fundamentals, best practices, and ethics
  • Advanced negotiation planning and execution skills, with proven track record
  • Strong contract review skills and deep understanding of what is possible with T's & C's negotiations
  • Driven and self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously to drive supplier activities through all external and internal processes eg. supplier bids, negotiation, analysis, contract review, internal reviews etc
  • High standards for own work
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, as well as analytical and data manipulation skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Professional fluency in written and spoken English
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence others
  • Data-driven mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to work within ambiguity
  • Flexibility to work across time zones when required for supplier discussions

Required Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Procurement Organizations, preferably with 5+ years in a Procurement Manager or more senior role.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing and Negotiation with 3rd parties.

Preferred Experience (Optional)

  • MBA
  • Professional Procurement Certifications (CPSM, CSCP, CSCM, CIPS, Negotiation training etc)
  • Experience in a multi-national Procurement Organization highly preferred
  • Experience within a Procurement Department focused on strategy, data, best practices, and defined policies
  • Negotiation experience is varied, through handling countless different scenarios and challenges
  • Broad experience and technical understanding of Cloud services through experiences procuring SaaS services, or experience in an IT or engineering role working on SaaS services
  • Experience procuring marketing or other indirect goods and services
  • Experience with e-Procurement tools
