The Role Responsibilities

Job Purpose

  • Business Banking (BB) provides a suite of Lending, Cash Management, Insurance, and Investment products to support the banking needs of companies in Singapore.
  • This is a product management role that covers all BB products. You will need to support/co-create initiatives that drive products take-up under your oversight to achieve growth in financial performances. You will need to ensure that your assigned products remain relevance to meet the needs of BB clients. You will also be involved in process improvement projects to optimise the delivery of the products.
  • This role reports directly to Head, Product & Segment, Business Banking and will work closely with key stakeholders such as Group BB, Sales, Credit, Operations, Legal, Marketing, Governance and Compliance teams to roll out product initiatives in a timely and effective manner.
Role & responsibilities
  • Responsible for executing end-to-end product initiatives in alignment with the business budgets and country credit policies
  • Supports and expand product enhancements and commercialisation of new initiatives
  • Work jointly with internal and external stakeholders to drive business acquisitions and revenue growth
Product management and development
  • Explore new revenue streams, commercialisation strategy and grow market share
  • Manage all product related queries from stakeholders
  • Understands customers\xe2\x80\x99 needs and develop client valued propositions
  • Articulates product strategies and drives key initiatives
  • Manage new product launches and product enhancements
  • Provides training to stakeholders including Sales, Call Centre, Operations
Financial performance and profitability
  • Conduct on-going competitor analysis to capture opportunities and mitigate threats
  • Develop product and sales strategy jointly with stakeholders to achieve budget objectives
  • Determines product pricing to meet product profitability targets
  • Improve process efficiency through digital transformation to scale business growth
Risk, Compliance & Governance
  • Work with Risk, Compliance & Governance teams to design optimum client on-boarding and management polices
  • Address Operational risks and Business risks related to the product.
  • Work with Operation teams to improve client servicing standards
  • Handle client management issues on the product
  • Ensure compliance of regulatory requirements
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the
. * Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • The key stakeholders are Group BB, Sales, Credit, Operations, Legal, Marketing, Governance and Compliance teams
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Possess strong analytical, articulation and presentation skills
  • Strong drive for results, able to plan, manage and follow through initiatives
  • 2+ years of experience in BB Lending or Cash Management products
  • Has credit risk management experiences
  • Adequate understanding of the various computer systems within the Bank.
  • Has experiences with local banking rules and guidelines
