About our group:
The Multi Disc Writer (MDW) / Multi Disk Spiral Write (MDSW) Product and Process team manages the final process of the media manufacturing processes. We are responsible for ensuring smooth operation and providing high servo quality of media to meet customers\xe2\x80\x99 requirements.
Our team\xe2\x80\x99s main job functions are qualifying for new design media/head/processes on MDW and MDSW, optimizing our processes to achieve the STX cost and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) goals. It involves failure analysis, intensive data analysis, root cause engineering investigation, Design of Experiments (DOEs) etc.
About the role - you will:
- To assist new product/process engineers on software and data analysis related projects
- Make use of programming languages (e.g., Python \xe2\x80\x93 to write scripts etc.) on process evaluation/optimization/improvements etc.
About you:
- Keen interest in Data Science
- Self-motivated and independent learner
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with ambiguity
- Resourceful and savvy professional that is committed to finding solutions and making an impact
- Good team player with stakeholder management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Detail-oriented and organized
Your experience includes:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s/Master\xe2\x80\x99s/PhD in Electrical and Electronic/Mechanical/Computer Engineering or other related fields
- Experience in programming (Matlab, Python, SQL etc.)
- Good Six Sigma knowledge
- Strong data analytical skills
