The Role Responsibilities
Strategy

  • Use thought leadership to design, develop and scope Resourcing products which deliver exceptional employee and hiring manager experience
  • Understand the services we deliver and balance operational excellence, cost efficiency, risk management and employee/hiring manager experience into the design and delivery of products
  • Drive ongoing improvement in existing Resourcing products, and identify opportunities for operational improvements in product delivery
  • Work with a range of HR and business stakeholders to build and maintain long term stakeholder relationships
  • Maintain awareness of external best practice, bringing trends, insights and innovation into the team
Business
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, cost constraints, employee experience and HR good practice in product design
  • Present clear options and recommendations to ensure high quality products are delivered
  • Ensure any trade-offs in product design and development are understood and accepted, both in regard to operational impact and impact on employee and hiring manager experience
Processes
  • Drive continuous improvement in our processes to optimise our products, enable product deployment, and support improved employee and hiring manager experience and operational efficiency
  • Develop and implement solutions which meet functional and business needs
People and Talent
  • Lead through example and build appropriate culture and values
  • Interface with other teams on the design, development and delivery of products aligned to the Resourcing agenda
Risk Management
  • Ensure new HR products deliver effective management of operational risks in compliance with applicable internal policies, external laws and regulations at a global level
  • Act to minimise operational loss and audit failures and take proactive measures to respond to matters arising, identify and manage forward looking risks
  • Embed the Group’s values and code of conduct across the function
  • Ensure that Risk Management matters that are brought to the job holder’s attention are subject to direct remedial action and/or ensure adequate reporting to the appropriate Risk Committees
Governance
  • Ensure product scope, design and development is management through appropriate governance and sign-off processes (both at a business and country level)
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operations, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role
  • Responsible for delivering ‘effective governance’, capability to challenge peers effectively and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Over all 5+ years of experience
  • Graduate, Specialisation in Human Resources, Masters in Human Resources.
