COMPANY DESCRIPTION Founded in 1990, Best World International is a Singapore headquartered company specialising in the development and distribution of premium skin care, personal care, nutritional and wellness products. After listing on the Singapore Exchange in July 2004, Best World has grown in strides to become a key regional player, having entered into 12 markets in Asia and the Middle East. Best World also manufactures and distributes the Aurigen line of supplements in China through drugstores across China. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyse product performance and manage improvement on existing products.

• Liaise with contract manufacturers for product-related or packaging-related matters (including corrective and preventive actions).

• Identify and understand customers by conducting interviews and surveys.

• Detect industrial trends and do competitive analysis.

• Product ideation: generate, develop, curate and prioritise ideas.

• Evaluate scientific information to generate concepts for new product innovations; define product features and unique selling proposition.

• Prepare new product development plan, ensuring delivery of product to the market is within the targeted timeline.

• Source for contract manufacturers and liaise with engineers/ formulators to develop new product.

• Compile formulas and ingredient/ design statements for new products, ensuring compliance to regulation.

• Conduct or work with contract manufacturer for efficacy assessment, literature review, product trial and testing, stability study and safety assessment.

• Source for product primary packaging and work with Regulatory Affairs on the text as well as the designs with the designers.

• Define critical attributes of final products and liaise with relevant stakeholders on the finalised specifications.

• Research and propose on product pricing.

• Present new product for management’s review.

• Provide product training and technical resources (such as product information sheet) for Marketing.

• Implement and maintain the standard procedures for product development and management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Cosmetic Science, Pharmacy, Nutrition or Chemistry.

• Experience in product development and management (preferably from cosmetic, health food or dietary supplement industry) will have an added advantage.

• Candidates without relevant experience may be considered.

• Keen interest in beauty, skin care, or health and wellness products.

• Proficient in English and Chinese (to liaise with Mandarin speaking customers and business counterparts from overseas).

• Possess project management, leadership, professional communication and negotiation skills.

• Self-starter, independent, proactive, meticulous, analytical and a problem solver.
