As a Product Lead, Unsecured Lending you'd be able to work on and solve many interesting challenges which we are facing, learn new ways of working, and help build delightful high-quality products for our customers.
Reporting to the Head of Cards and Lending, you will lead a multidisciplinary team to design, develop and deliver one of our key revenue generating product and service propositions. As Product Lead, Lending, you would cover – unsecured lending, ensuring a cohesive overall proposition for our customers for their unsecured borrowing needs covering their lifecycle events. You are a digital native with a natural intuition for design and technology, coupled with a strategic mindset. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high degrees of ambiguity, get excited by solving complex problems and are happy to roll your sleeves up and get things done.
The Role Responsibility:

  • Define the unsecured lending strategy.
  • Drive and Deliver loan on card, personal loans, pay later (instalments), balance transfer, debt consolidation, and other products based on research to meet customers borrowing needs and deliver sustainable growth in balances and revenue.
  • Develop and deliver risk-based pricing model, optimize Return on RWA.
  • Optimize credit line utilization.
  • Ensure relevant control measures are in place to minimize the risk exposure of the Bank as well as meeting all the internal standard, compliance, policies & regulation.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team from project inception to scoping, design, concept testing and delivery.
  • Act as the senior product owner across the product and services, to define and manage the product backlog, prioritising feature releases in line with the broader roadmap.
  • Direct and lead team members to formulate product/service directions to maintain competitiveness/market leading position.
  • Define a compelling service proposition through innovative product management/development amid intensifying competition from traditional card issuers and emerging third-party payment providers.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering team and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of quality product and service proposition to customers.
  • Be the voice of the customer in the definition of your product/service and collaborate with other product owners to converge on a broader coherent proposition.
  • Provide insights into product, technology, and market trends, pre-empting imminent disruptions and identifying opportunities for acceleration.
  • Work with Product Design to gain an understanding of user personas, pain points and journeys.
  • Develop and monitor budgets for project delivery.
  • Develop the economic model, business plan and operating model for new products and services.
  • Define the commercial launch and go-to-market strategy.
  • Collaborate with other Stream Leads, Design, Technology, Operations, Risk, Finance and Strategic Partnerships to define and track the MVP through a shared understanding what is desirable, viable and feasible.

Our Ideal Candidate:
  • 10 year’s progressive experience in Product Management in Financial Institutions, leading a business unit responsible for achieving financial sales and service performance objectives through a customer needs-based sales approach.
  • 5+ years of Product Ownership experience – preferrable unsecured lending.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (finance, computer science, electrical engineering, etc).
  • Strong understanding of mobile and web technologies.
  • A strong customer focus and a natural inclination to let empirical research define and inform product/service priorities.
  • Hands on experience in agile environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • The ability to manage time and schedules to meet aggressive deadlines and influence through persuasive written and verbal communication.
