We are looking for a talented Product Manager, APAC to join our team in Tuas South, Singapore and this will be following hybrid work model.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Manages key product line lifecycles. Understands and interprets market and industry trends. Leads the marketing initiatives for new product introduction and existing product change introduction.
  • Develops the long-term product line strategy, forecast, and the annual operating plan.
  • Provides product line budget requirements into the business unit annual operating plan.
  • Drives the development of product introduction plans.
  • Develops all aspects of the marketing mix to ensure the successful launch of new products and throughout the subsequent lifecycle.
  • Presents marketing approach for functional review and to the change management review group.
  • Drives pricing activity throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Drives available marketing resources and uses those resources appropriately and as needed.
  • Ensures that the product branding strategy is implemented effectively, and leads and supports internal and external communications in relations to the product range.
Protects intellectual property of the organization, and works with legal counsel and engineering to ensure asset protection.
  • Uses market research capabilities to plan for and implements an appropriate approach based on the understanding of Cummins\xe2\x80\x99 target market and competitors.
  • Defines and adopts, in the target market, a specific stance relative to the competition with the use of market research capabilities.
  • Drives improvement of customer satisfaction and solves elevated customer issues in relation to product.
  • Drives management of the product lifecycle; determines when products should be deemed obsolete.
  • Develops, implements, and measures results of product promotions.
  • Collaborates with other functions and global locations to ensure global profitability of the product line.
  • Recommends marketing process changes that will improve Value Package Introduction and Value Package Change processes.
  • Develops work plans for Product Managers and Associate Product Managers to deliver product line results; provides guidance and direction on problems and issues; delegates work assignments considering employee skills and development needs.

  • Marketing Plan Management - Develops marketing mix recommendations based on the 4 P\xe2\x80\x99s (Product, Price, Promotion, and Placement) to meet customer needs and achieve business objectives; guides and influences cross-functional implementation and creates framework to evaluate market responses and business performance.
  • Maximizing Profitability - Develops strategies that demonstrate the use of all marketing and sales levers (e.g. pricing strategies, promotions, volume based incentives, and value, feature, or benefit selling) to optimize profit.
  • Positioning For Target Segments - Aggregates appropriate inputs (e.g. customer perceptions, competitor positioning, alternative product capabilities) and determining where we need or want to compete for business within the target market segment.
  • Product Life Cycle Management - Identifies and executes changes to the product portfolio in response to evolving market dynamics and customer needs
  • Storytelling - Develops and delivers a compelling narrative which resonates with a target audience and influences a decision or course of action.
Qualification:
  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales, technical, or a related subject required.This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • Significant relevant work experience required, including supervisory experience.
  • Works with Business Development Manager\xe2\x80\x99s to scope program framework and reviews against product strategic pillars.
  • Delivers category performance analysis and works with Business Development and Sales Managers to formulate plans to recover gaps.
  • Monitors the market and develops competitive analyses.
  • Manage NRP P&L for geography, accountable for meeting NRP sales targets
  • Act as account manager to JV & Independent distributors, representing NRP/PDC
  • Establish good forecast accuracy and insights to facilitate planning
  • Acts as escalation point for issues such as cashflow and delivery
  • Sets AOP and maintains forecast (NRP)
  • Prepares and submits SSA budgets (NRP)
  • Sets and align partner business development plans and supply performance expectations
