What the role is
The Smart Nation Sensor Platform (SNSP) is a Strategic National Project to provide situational awareness for Singapore. SNSP comprises a common infrastructure and services for IoT and related technologies. It will enable the use of sensor data and analytics to co-create Smart Nation applications to deliver better public services enhancing quality of life. We are looking for a Product Content & Communication Manager to write and publish various types of pieces for SNPS’s content like product, web pages, articles, ebooks, social media posts, and product brochure, communications and events. As a Product Content & Communication Manager, you are required to produce marketing copy to advertise our products, writing blog posts about industry-related topics and promoting our content on social media. The role requires you to have experience with digital publishing and generating traffic and leads for new business. You will also be required to connect with our target audience by delivering both useful and appealing online information about our SNPS products and services. What to Expect: • Research industry-related topics for Smart Cities and Sensor Platforms • Create and distributing marketing copy to advertise SNPS products with clear, appealing, and well-structured product content for different users • Develop business development product content in line with platform and product strategy • Create product factsheets for technical and non-technical users • Prepare well-structured drafts using digital word processing and publishing platforms • Work as part of the Platform Management team to communicate SNPS products and services • Interview industry professionals and incorporate their views in blog posts • Promote content on social networks and monitor engagement (e.g. comments and shares) • Identify customers’ needs and recommend new topics • Edit and proofread written pieces before publication • Measure web traffic to content (e.g. conversion and bounce rates) • Update digital sites as needed • Explore and develop interesting projects/programs related to SNSP product group. • Thought Leadership content development and engagement • Coordinate with communication, marketing and design teams to illustrate articles or provide support for events • Liaison internal divisions and/or stakeholder for product content, internal and external communication engagements, public relations engagements How to Succeed: • Degree in English, Communications, Marketing or related disciplines • At least 3 years of relevant experience in content creation, research or related fields including media and publishing • Strong writing skills with a keen sense of style, tone and structure • Interest in technical writing and ability to grasp technical concepts quickly (no programming knowledge required) • Familiar with computer systems and software to conduct research • Familiar with industry trends and marketing strategies • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills • Strong analytical and writing skills • A strong eye for detail and presenting visual material
