Role Responsibilities
Purpose The purpose of the role is to provide delivery capability and thought leadership on a transformation programme that spans Risk, Compliance and Financial Crime (Risk & CFCC). The role will be part of a team that sets the direction for coordinating and managing transformation work, specifically as a Product Owner in Risk and CFCC Change team and lead the team to deliver outcomes on RiskView, the strategic platform which is used by multiple departments. Working with collaborative teams in an agile environment the role holder will be expected to adopt a flexible approach across multiple initiatives. This will require the successful candidate to bring agile planning, business analysis, engagement and delivery leadership capabilities while working flexibly with business leaders, technology, and the wider Risk and CFCC change function. The ability to convert a concept or broad opportunity into tangible transformation initiatives is critical. Therefore, prior experience in similar initiatives and working environments is paramount. Brief details on individual inflight initiatives on RiskView are as follows RiskView Stressed Assets project is to roll out a new platform to manage problems accounts in the bank and replace existing application. In addition to migrate functionalities from legacy application, the project aims to automate data exchanges with various transaction processing (TP) systems and bank ledger and improve data quality and governance for problem accounts management

RiskView Intragroup limit management is to roll out a strategic platform to enable risk users monitor intragroup limits and manage the excess. Platform aims to providing reporting and visualization capabilities to provide insights to senior management and help facilitate risk management. RiskView platform has multiple applications hosted on it and is used by different departments. BAU squad is responsible to manage the BAU enhancements and fixes. In addition, the squad aims to deliver strategic utilities which can be used as plug and play for strategic modules While above are the current focus areas, role is expected to grow and train team for next successor and then take up new responsibilities in managing strategic objectives as laid out by Risk & CFCC Refinement Forums. Business

  • Understand the use cases (roles, personas, pain points, data quality issues) and conduct requirements gathering, articulate user-stories for identified features.
  • Create product backlog, write user stories, and prioritize features development to deliver maximum value to business stakeholders.
  • Develop rollout plan, pre / post implementation activities in conjunction with Technology teams and support the creation of training materials and facilitate training sessions.
  • Identify risks and issues early, plan mitigating steps and communicate these to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Accountable for ongoing stakeholder engagement to ensure that all project scope decisions are understood and agreed to and that all their needs are met.
  • Work as a team to embed agile principles and ways of working that enable rapid assessment and delivery of impactful initiatives that align with Risk & CFCC Refinement forums objectives.
  • Realise synergies and efficiencies and ensure consistency in delivery of outcomes wherever possible.
  • Ensure new rollouts comply with BCBS239 standards with a focus on improvement of data quality and data sourcing standardization.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team to achieve the business objectives.
Processes
  • Adopt an agile planning and rapid opportunity assessment framework to quickly identify and analyse opportunities and process related pain-points that, if resolved, would give rise to more effective and efficient risk management.
  • Run and fully adhere to all agreed governance (e.g. committees, LuW forum, change risk assessments) and other routines (regular meetings, attendance at other forums).
  • Partner with technology stakeholders to ensure that all relevant development and testing activities are efficiently scheduled and regularly tracked against the delivery timeline.
  • Support development of the target state transition approach.
  • Support change management activities.
  • Ensure that project is managed in accordance with the bank’s project management standards.
Risk Management
  • Ensure all activity adheres to the Banks Risk Management Framework, with a specific focus on ensuring an effective framework for the management of operational risks as they pertain to the role.
Governance
  • Demonstrate an awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Deliver ‘effective governance’; capability to challenge colleagues effectively; and willingness to work in an open and cooperative manner with all.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 8 + years of hands-on experience in leading and implementing business solutions / change in Banks / Financial institutions.
  • Strong knowledge of agile methodology and data management / data governance practises.
  • Good functional knowledge in one or more areas - Risk, Compliance, Lending, Corporate Products.
  • Ability to influence and manage global and regional stake holder relationships in leading change.
  • Demonstrated experience as a team leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and compellingly, effectively influencing across cross functional teams.
  • Strategic mindset with strong problem solving and superior ability to manage, manipulate and analyse raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and take the initiative.
  • Technical knowledge and SQL skills are good to have.
  • Able to multitask and must be willing to work on topics of little previous exposure.
