Our Trust & Safety team\'s commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.

It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.

As a Product Policy Manager for Spam in our Trust & Safety team, you will collaborate with product managers, data scientists, user researchers, operations, legal, and various stakeholders to craft policies for product features and deliver major safety product changes, with a specific focus on spam issues. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and address spam risks, develop policy solutions, and ensure a safe and trustworthy user experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in content policy development, particularly in dealing with spam-related challenges.

Responsibilities:
What will I be doing?

  • Identify and analyze spam risks and develop policy solutions to effectively mitigate those risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Policy, Global Public Policy, Product, Operations, Risk Control, Legal, and Public Relations, to build consensus on global feature policies and processes for combating spam.
  • Streamline cross-functional workflows to optimize policy implementation and enforcement for spam prevention.
  • Provide prompt and professional input from a user safety perspective to support the successful launch of new product features and updates, with a specific focus on spam detection and prevention.
  • Continuously monitor and identify emerging spam tactics and trends, and adapt policy solutions accordingly.
Qualifications

Qualifications:
What should I bring with me?
  • 3-5 years of experience in policy development, specifically in the area of technology, internet, social media, or content.
  • Proven experience in content policy development, with a focus on dealing with spam issues.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in public policy, politics, law, economics, communications, behavioral sciences, data science, computer science.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex challenges into simple and clear language and effectively persuade stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Strong analytical reasoning, execution, and project management skills.
  • Experience working with international partners across different time zones and cultures.
