As a DRAM and Emerging Memory Quality and Reliability Assurance (DEMQRA) Product Quality and Reliability Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for supporting qualification and monitoring of DRAM memory products, helping develop product reliability methodologies and responding to product deviations as they pertain to quality and reliability! You will establish and implement Quality and Reliability requirements such as specifications, (DPM) Defects per Million, (FIT) Failure In Time, and Lifetimes. In this role, you will coordinate with engineering teams to ensure product reliability methods are in place and followed. You will perform risk assessments and provide support for manufacturing teams handling reliability issues. You will also be required to gain new product knowledge on an ongoing basis as well as develop and mentor new talent!

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Support New Product Qualification
• Define reliability stress conditions and perform Lifetime calculations
• Comprehend failures and failure rate within the scope of the qualification
• Review and analyze qualification data
• Analyze, assess, and review test results and Reliability Sample Delta-Char

Develop Product Reliability Methodology, Monitors, Metrics, and Specifications

• Coordinate with Design, Product Engineering and R&D teams
• Comprehend new DRAM processes/technologies for product reliability issues
• Coordinate/drive necessary specification definition on existing products
• Build and sustain monitors and metrics to gauge product quality and reliability health
• Coordinate and follow up the execution of the OQRM plan

Establish and Enforce Quality Requirements

• Establish and review Reliability and Quality Metrics
• Assess deviation for DRAM product quality and reliability risk
• Review Excursion/Conversion Analysis
• Communicate violations to defined release/acceptance criteria
• Define evaluation(s) necessary to mitigate risk
• Analyze risk to any violations
• Communicate issues and corrective actions across all Micron products

Provide Internal Technical Support for Customer Support Teams

• Provide recommendations on manufacturing history and known issues relative to customer failure signature
• Assist DRAM RMA Team with analysis of returned material
• Perform additional data collection per customer request
• Develop Reliability Process Monitor (RPM) plans
• Assist with necessary corrective actions at manufacturing level
• Comprehend field failure rates relative to internal failure rates

Provide Guidance and Consultation

• Support Global Qual Meetings
• Provide part qualification data for internal teams
• Collaborate with Engineering groups on quality issues
• Obtain product knowledge

Education and Experience

• BS in Electrical engineering or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field of study (preferably a Ph.D. graduate)
• Desired, minimum 3 years semiconductor related Test, Product Engineering, Process Reliability or Quality experience

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of using statistical tools, Unix and JMP (Preferred)
• Familiarity with DRAM, VLSI (Very Large-Scale Integration), Semiconductor Physics, or Semiconductor Manufacturing. (Preferred)
• Familiarity with process and product reliability. (Preferred)
