Sales & marketing role in a growing portfolio:

Marketing - The role will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of strategies for product portfolio to achieve the sales, profit and growth performance objectives in the annual budget and long range plans.

Sales - The role is responsible to achieve the territory sales and milestones objectives within assigned territory and portfolio by:
  • Increasing prescriptions of responsible products in accordance to sales and marketing activities and in compliance with company procedures and policies, HSE requirements, Pharma code of conduct and ethical standards at all times.
  • Understanding organization mission/vision and demonstrate organization values through self.


Job Scope

Priorities - Sales
  • Achieve set targets sales (monthly, quarterly and annually) assigned by BM through execution of territory action plan (TAP) aligned with product/channel strategies in the territory.
  • Monitor sales performance regularly and recommend territory action plans to ensure achievement of sales timely.
  • Provide accurate sales forecast monthly to assist BM in preparing accurate sales forecasting
  • Identify sales opportunities/ business risk within assigned territories and recommend action plan to BM
  • Be accountable and initiate Individual Development Plan (IDP) discussion with Line Manager and follow through on development actions as agreed with the Line Manager.
  • Able to synthesize all data sources, appropriately discusses and articulate with physician the clinical implications of the information to be patient centric.
  • Able to analyse respective territories and customers to roll out action plans in order to achieve sales target.


Sales Call Quality & Activity
  • Effectively utilise all sales support materials, SFE tools (e.g. Electronic Territory Management System (ETMS), clinical papers (on-label indications), visual aids and other resources to maximise sales call quality and implement sales strategy.
  • Report details of daily call activities as per the guidelines provided.
  • Execute TAP and marketing activities to targeted customers in line with marketing strategies to optimise prescription, including organizing meetings etc
  • Provide market and field intelligence in timely manner to BM


Responsibilities \xe2\x80\x93 Marketing

Product Management and Business Planning
  • Develop and validate short and long range planning and forecasting for the product portfolio for budget and production needs.
  • Develop business case for region and global approval for pre-launch and launch activities for product/portfolio
  • Achieve target market penetration for the product portfolio.
  • Drive and lead the implementation of key projects for the product portfolio in conjunction with the Brand Team
  • Drive and coordinate the Brand Plan in conjunction with the Brand Team.
  • Work with manager to prepare for T1 & T2 (budget, A&P, P&L) reviews as well as Budget & LRP plans as required.
  • Closely monitor and manage cost centre within the agreed budgets.


Strategy Implementation
  • Develop, implement and drive growth strategies for all market segments
  • Regularly discuss and review business plans/strategies with Business Manager (BM)
  • Effectively manage advertising and promotion budgets
  • With BM, evaluate the effectiveness of promotion and advertising programmes, using set guidelines, and make recommendations for improvements within code of conduct guidelines
  • Develop detailed KOL action plans, prioritise opportunities and schedule to follow up regularly, in conjunction with the brand team


Brand Team Partnership/ Leadership
  • Be an active and proactive key member of the core and extended brand team by creating a sense of common purpose across business unit teams, shares business/sales imperatives, by establishing clear and positive messages about what needs to be achieved.
  • Collaborate to create brand strategy and an integrated brand plan and work with the brand team to identify opportunities to create value for the business and ultimately the patients.


Product Promotion
  • Develop, implement and evaluate successful messaging and promotional campaigns and materials.
  • Regularly monitor market place, brand evolution and adjust plans and forecasts accordingly.
  • Identify and build plans around key stakeholders (KOLs, scientific and patient societies, etc.) to gain their respect and build positive relationship to the benefit of the Brand and Company.


Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Brand team, Medical Affairs, Public Affairs, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Communication, MCE and etc.)
  • Develop and maintain relationships and actively engage with customers and key opinions leaders relevant to the performance of the business.
  • Develop KOL as speakers/advocate


Compliance, Pharmacovigilance and HSE responsibilities
  • Ensure all activities, strategies, campaigns, interactions with HCPs and patients (if any) strictly adhere to Sanofi Compliance guidelines and the respective countries pharmaceutical code of conduct
  • Responsible in complying and meeting all HSE roles and responsibilities in accordance to the existing HSE Policy
  • Report any incidence related to pharmacovigilance within 24 hours
  • Identify and correct unsafe conditions or behaviours and immediately notify the Manager of any serious incidents; complete an Incident / Injury Report and forward to Human Resources within 48 hours where necessary.


About You
  • Experience in sales and managing pharmaceutical compliance guidelines
  • Good to have: Proven track record in product management in ethical pharmaceutical industry. 1-2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience is acceptable
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Possess leadership, networking, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Market intelligence, business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to adapt to change and strategic focus
  • Planning and project management skills
  • Experience in haematology / oncology products is an added advantage
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field e.g., Business, Commerce, Marketing, Science, Pharmacy, Medicine
