Headquartered in Singapore, Bank of Singapore is one of the fastest growing private banks in Asia.The Alternative Investments and Managed Solutions business of BOS is responsible for the sourcing, selection, advisory, marketing and post-sales lifecycle management of both public and private market funds and investment solutions as well as discretionary and advisory portfolio management. The fund products are offered to clients in the form of fund structures or as structured notes with the fund as the underlying.The Product Management (xe2x80x9cPMxe2x80x9d) team sits within AIMS and is responsible for product lifecycle management, middle office operational support and business support across the Managed Investments and the Alternatives businesses.Main Duties:The new hire will assist the PM team in:i. Product lifecycle management support for fund products, including:

  • Reviewing and negotiating distribution agreements, sub-management agreements, offering memoranda and documentation relating to investment structures. This includes working with product specialists, legal, compliance, tax advisors, General Partners and other service providers;
  • Product classification, product risk rating, maintenance of selling restrictions, and management of trailer fee data;
  • Supporting product specialists with ongoing monitoring and review of fund house AML due diligence;
  • Coordinating internal reporting to various departments of BOS and OCBC Group; and
  • Own and maintain policies, procedures and frameworks
ii. Operational support across the lifecycle of all private markets and hedge fund products, including:
  • Support during fund launches (e.g., order collation from Front Office, administrative allocation of subscription);
  • Facilitate internally the execution of lifecycle events in relation to private market funds such as capital calls, distributions and fee collection;
  • Maintain oversight of performance and cash flow data for performance reporting and valuation updates of private market funds.
  • Drive efficiency improvements in channel management across online and offline platforms (e.g. emails and internal applications such as AFE (Advisory Front-end) and RMFE (RM Front-end)).
iii. Business support for the department, including:
  • Manage/support departmentxe2x80x99s risk management activities e.g., audit, risk self-assessment process, business continuity, etc
  • Assist with business management activities e.g., access control administration and reviews, assist the department with collation of business data and management updates, budget preparation, headcount requirements, etc
  • Assist in preparation of management report and other adhoc data request to assist with planning and strategic initiatives
  • Drive strategic transformation projects to identify and implement process improvement / efficiencies
  • Keep track of the departmentxe2x80x99s contractual obligations
  • Serve as a main point of contact for the department in relation to business processes
  • Represent the department/team in related meetings
QualificationsWork Experience Requirements:
  • At least 5-7 years of work experience, preferably in private banking, consumer banking and/or asset management
  • Knowledge of alternative investments (private market and hedge funds), mutual funds, distribution agreements, investment vehicle/structures is preferred
  • Self-initiated team player with keen attention to detail
  • Persuasive, persistent with high stress tolerance to manage stringent and moving deadlines
  • Able to work independently with strong project & task management skills to manage multiple projects at any one time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education Requirements:
  • Good relevant undergraduate degree (business, finance, law) from a reputable university
