The Production Artist will collaborate with specialty coffee industrial design, product management, concept design, etc. to support the development of product imagery and renders - showing new textures, Color/Material/Finish (CMF) exploration, and product for both internal and external communications.This role will also work closely with industrial design and product teams to execute on our base artworks. This involves opening 3D files in SolidWorks to export product line drawings to then apply artwork onto the base of our items.This role will support the design and product development departments through rendered product imagery in a variety of views and finishes as well as clear base artwork communications ultimately used by our manufacturing partners.Production Artist will work within a growing Product and Creative team, all focused on delivering category driven consumer experiences that inform and align with PMI's integrity, performance and innovation promise.About The Role

• Creation of product renders (keyshot renderings leading to layered photoshop files) across all materials: stainless steel, plastic, ceramic and glass; to support the Product Management, Graphics and Industrial Design teams within our specialty coffee division.

• Creation of base artwork files for product components across all materials: stainless steel, plastic, ceramic and glass; for new products and updates on existing products.

• Update simple materials on rendering files as needed (i.e. Hex codes on matte paints, as spec'd by Product Management and Graphics teams), Complex materials will be provided by ID team.

• Apply logos (png labels) in different colors and positions, sized appropriately in Key shot (logos, sizing and location to be provided by ID team).

• Crop renderings (to extents), and upload to the Data Asset Management system with basic tags and/or metadata applied.

• Generating renders and content in conjunction with seasonal development timing plans.

• Owning product rendering of our products from concept, through various stages of development, and into production.

• Working collaboratively with the wider Product and Creative Team to promote world-class design.

• Managing internal communications across a complex matrix, including Product Management, Industrial Design, Quality, and Graphics.

• Supporting in discovering new potential visualization resources to enhance our visual capabilities.

About you

• 3 years industry experience in similar role

• 4-year college degree preferably in graphic design or similar area

• Expert in Keyshot & Adobe Creative Suite.

• Keen knowledge of printing processes, CMYK and PMS color systems.

Proficiencies Required

• Expert in Keyshot & Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop preferably on a PC platform.

• Clear communication, both written and verbal.
