Job Description


The logistics and Value-Added Services (VAS) field activities of the LVMH Beauty Singapore distribution center are outsourced to an internationally recognized 3PL. The logistics activities compromise of full scope of product and order management. The VAS activities catalogue includes multiple activities centered around product customization and co-packing. These activities, despite being outsourced and executed by a 3PL, are closely monitored by LVMH Beauty Production & Logistics departments who leads and drive these activities.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:- Reporting to the Logistics & Production associate director, the Production assistant manager is supported by a team of 5 production planners. She/He will be responsible to:

1. Manage and coordinate the team of production planners

  • Coordinate and animate the activities of the production planning team.
  • Monitor the production planning team performances through score card review.
  • Actively participate in the evolution of the team in the areas of team development (skills, abilities, knowledge, etc.), new team member recruitment, talent pool building
2. Service level for basics and co-packing offers
  • Control the overall short-term and mid-term production planning for finished goods and ensure its adequacy with the timing of the needs and assembly workshop capacity,
  • Support or coordinate short term prioritization whenever necessary,
  • Ensure finish goods availability alerts are relayed whenever demand can\xe2\x80\x99t be met,
  • Help aligning 3PL\xe2\x80\x99s manpower capacity with the evolution of the business.
3. Stock level & health
  • Monitor material purchase by ensuring proper SAP setup, monitoring internal suppliers\xe2\x80\x99 performance (DRP), monitoring external suppliers\xe2\x80\x99 performance (OTIF fulfillment).
  • Monitor and analyze inventory usage, review and communicate about reasons for stock level, stock depreciation and stock destruction. Implement necessary actions to eliminate and build a healthy inventory.
4. Monitoring 3PL\xe2\x80\x99s workshops performance through continuous improvement
  • Monitor the performance of Assembly and Customization workshops,
  • Lead process and performance improvement (safety, data, LEAN management, change-over optimization, etc),
  • Support/monitor reporting and analytics related to workshops.
5. Coordinating long-term improvement plans with LFCS Teams and Brands headquarter
  • Work with LFCS quality team to feedback, follow up and tackle the quality issues on components and finished goods. Address recurring issues encountered during assembly to Brands headquarter Planning / Purchaser department for action plan setting.
  • Secure components availability (qty, timing) by monitoring inbound flow, relaying alerts, while setting regular meetings and action plans to mitigate risks.
  • Communicate major alerts (or major programs results) to headquarters whenever necessary.

The Production assistant manager will be assessed on:
  • His/her ability to manage the team and its members,
  • His/her diligent attitude towards fixing operational issues,
  • His/her ability to identify, carry or support continuous improvements projects with the 3PL,
  • His/her ability to communicate and lead improvements with LFCS Teams (Logistics, Customization, Planning & Customer Service, Quality),
  • His/her ability to raise alerts when deviations are encountered (manpower allocation by 3PL, lack of process controls, \xe2\x80\xa6),
  • His/her analytical approach, his/her critical eye on data, systems and processes.
HARD SKILL AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Diploma qualification or higher
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Experience in warehouse or operations
  • Proficiency in MS Office. Power Query and Power BI are a plus
  • SAP, WMS, TMS knowledge are appreciated
  • Six Sigma and APICS certifications are appreciated
LOCATION: Position hybrid with on-site location in the Pioneer area. Company transport provided at Boon Lay, Jurong East and Outram.
