Roles and Responsibilities:
The Production Data Engineer will be part of a multi-disciplined team defining and building data solutions working closely with the extended global team. The Production Data Engineer will work closely with a wide variety of teams to provide the following for the ARAMCHEK platform:
- Troubleshoot production issues following a ‘Follow The Sun principle’ [APAC/EMEA/NAR] support model
- Monitoring and proactive support including morning checks, etc
- Application maintenance and upgrades
- Propose and carry out initiatives to improve efficiency, e.g. automation of BAU tasks
- When appropriate, suggest improvements and provide guidance and support to the IT Security team to help them improve their monitoring & analytics capabilities
- Working knowledge of Elastic stack (Elasticsearch / Logstash / Kibana / Beats) including data ingestion, management, monitoring & analytics. Able to perform L1/2 ELK related tasks
- In-depth experience with Kafka (or similar experience in messaging broker software e.g. Rabbit MQ, ActiveMQ)
- Good working knowledge of Linux (RedHat/Ubuntu)
- Programming skills (Python or Ruby or Java)
- Experienced production support engineer
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience of IT Production and/or BigData. The candidate must be experienced in providing multi-disciplined technical support as part of a team, and have practical knowledge of performance and capacity management from a BigData perspective as well as strong aptitude for automation.
