Job Description

Supporting the food production team, the Production Engineer / Technician is responsible for all engineering and technical maintenance of the food production/ processing facility. The candidate is expected to be well-versed in food manufacturing / processing technology and equipment. This role reports to the Production Manager.
Key Responsibilities
To set-up production floor, equipment purchases and handle government certifications.
To source and work with equipment vendors.
To operate manufacturing / production equipment safely
To upkeep maintenance/servicing of all manufacturing / production equipment in the production plant.
To keep a maintenance/servicing log on all manufacturing/production equipment.
To report equipment downtime to the production manager
To oversee the quality of the production and products are delivered on time with minimal material loss.
To ensure that the quality standards of the factory are adhered to at all times and all work conforms to statutory & safety requirements.
To maintain, upkeep and handle cleanliness of the production and warehousing floorspace.
To ensure compliance with company's Health & Safety policy and procedure
To adhere to all relevant documentation and protocols used in the production area
Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical engineering or related courses
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in a food manufacturing plant
Well-versed with factory automation and manufacturing technology
Strong knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act
Effective communication skills and proactive in seeking solutions and good problem-solving skills
