Production Intern - Your future position?

Location: Woodlands

Reporting to: Assistant Production Manager

Workplace arrangement: On-site

As a Production Intern, you will apply technical knowledge in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering that are transferrable in the setting of a food/flavours manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support investigation and troubleshooting for product non-conformances
• Support periodic SOP review standards (including SOP, workcycles)
• Collaborate with process technology team to streamline and improve production processes
• Collect and consolidate data for material loss/gain to improve yield management and minimise waste
• Support site master plan projects (material storage tank improvement, workstation design)
• Support Continuous Improvement projects

Academic Requirements

• Diploma/Degree students pursuing Chemistry/Chemical Engineering

At the end of the industrial attachment, interns will be able to:

• Familiarize with Food Safety (HACCP) principles and guidelines
• Learn how to handle and process chemicals safely
• Understand basic production processing and capacity planning
• Understand important quality parameters influencing product quality
• Acquire knowledge on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
• Acquire knowledge on Lean and Quality Program (5S, White Belt, Engrained Quality (Right First Time)
