Responsibilities:Planning and Production Scheduling: Using advanced planning and scheduling software to balance demand and resource availability, employing lean production techniques to minimize work-in-progress inventory and reduce lead times.Quality Management Systems: Utilizing statistical process control techniques and root cause analysis methodologies to monitor and improve production processes and product quality.Floor Tracking and Control Plans: Implementing systems to track work-in-progress inventory movement and visual management tools for real-time monitoring and problem resolution on the production floor.Assessment of Manufacturing Processes for New Products: Collaborating with design teams to assess manufacturing feasibility and employing rapid prototyping techniques to validate manufacturing processes for new product designs.Organizational Risk Management Frameworks: Developing risk registers and safety protocols to mitigate workplace hazards and conducting regular safety audits and assessments.Evaluation of Supplier Performance: Assessing supplier performance and implementing vendor-managed inventory programs to streamline procurement processes.Maintenance Strategies: Developing comprehensive equipment maintenance plans and analyzing maintenance records to inform continuous improvement efforts.Team Management: Providing direction and guidance to supervisors, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives.Workplace Safety and Health Systems: Implementing safety training programs and conducting energy audits to minimize waste generation and energy consumption.Financial Budgets and Plans: Developing production budgets aligned with strategic priorities, monitoring financial performance indicators, and implementing cost control measures.Manufacturing Process Improvements: Enhancing operations and production policies, facilitating cross-functional brainstorming sessions, and leveraging advanced manufacturing technologies for automation and optimization.Assisting in Process Improvement Projects: Acting as project champions for improvement initiatives, facilitating collaboration, and ensuring timely execution and successful implementation.Leading Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, facilitating knowledge sharing and cross-training initiatives, and aligning improvement efforts with organizational goals and priorities.Requirements:Education and Experience:
Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field
Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing, with 3 years in a leadership role
Track record of improving processes and quality in manufacturing
Proficient in production planning and scheduling software
