Prepares preliminary bar charts/schedules, project organizational charts and other relevant documents as required for the project during tender
Produces target schedules, progress monitoring sheets, S-curves and manpower histograms and compile manpower allocation sheets, status of equipment submittals and purchasing for awarded projects
Monitors project progress on basis of supporting document from project engineers and supervisors
Verifies progress percentages by site visits.
Updates progress in the aforementioned forms for the on-going projects
Compiles all planning information and issues the planning report
Advises the Manager and Production department of any change to the progress of work, cost implication and schedule impact, at the earliest possible date and backed up with comprehensive documentation with recommended workable solutions.
Works out on project duration for prospective change orders, scheduling, budgetting, additional work and contract deviation.
Ensures the safety of personnel through compliance with Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Regulations.
Ensures that Health, Safety & Environmental operating procedures are followed and counsel employees about compliance as necessary
Participates in the preparation of Safe work, Environmental control and Emergency procedures.
Performs any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
Requirements
Minimum Diploma in any Engineering discipline
Preferably 1 to 5 years of working experience in similar capacity in Marine, Offshore, Oil & Gas industry
Entry-Level candidates are welcome to apply (On Job Training will be provided)
Have hands on understanding of planning/scheduling
Familiar with planning softwares, Excel VBA, or other programming softwares will be advantageous.
Able to plan, organise and lead personnel in the performance of their work
Have the ability to grasp, utilise and analyse both generic and detail based work knowledge/information to solve work related problems
Have good knowledge of project planning and control philosophy, methodologies and procedures
Have good initiative and effective problem solving, coordination, decision making, organization, interpersonal and communication skills
Must be conversant with report generation programs and planning application programs
