Role Purpose
Network and Service Information fundamentally describes the DHL Express business, defines DHL Express' operational capability and outlines the services that DHL Express provides to its customers. This data is used across all functions of Express to enable their systems and processes, as well as customers. Good quality information is critical to the success of the operation, management, and provision of DHL Express services to its customers.
To support this, the role holder is responsible for managing the program of work to:
1. Maintain the quality of Network and Service Information published to the DHL Express Network globally for operational purposes according to the agreed governance.
2. Deliver the tools and solutions for the publication and access to Network and Service Information.
We're looking for a Program Manager, Network and Service Information based in Singapore, Bonn, Maastricht, or Brussels.
How will you contribute to the success of DHL?
1. Oversight of regular day-to-day data changes to 190 data entities (e.g. postal location updates, new facilities)
- Ensure change governance is followed for the specific update
- Identify and document procedures for routine changes
- Quality assurance for the change, ensuring impact assessment done for required scope, assessing end-to-end impacts across Express processes and IT systems, and ensuring project setup is in place for successful execution of the change where needed
- Consult to change owner on the process/procedure to follow to make a change
- Make specific data changes where global governance applies
2. Oversight of large one-off changes in data content (e.g. introduction of country postal codes, change of country currency)
- Similar to regular data changes but requires engagement with senior stakeholders at the country, region, and global level
- Impact across multiple countries/regions/functions
- May include structural changes
- Lead such changes when called on to do so, from analysis through to delivery of the complete change
3. Lead NSI data quality initiatives (1 - 2 month duration, 5 - 6 / year)
- Identify specific subject areas for data quality review and assurance
- Plan data quality initiatives
- Lead data quality initiative with data stewards from all DHL Express countries
- Measure outcome to ensure objectives have been met
4. Lead business program/product management of the systems and tools to publish NSI to all internal users across the Express Network
- Define and execute the product roadmap based on user feedback, prioritization, and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional product team to execute product roadmap
- Gather and analyze data to identify customer needs, measure product performance, and drive continuous improvements
- Manage the product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch (including business UAT), growth, and sunset phases
- Prioritize features and initiatives based on impact, feasibility, and stakeholders' inputs (Product Steering Board)
5. Consult stakeholders on the usage and interpretation of Network and Service Information / Data
Do you have what it takes?
- Degree or equivalent, preferably in a business, transportation, and/ or project management-related discipline.
- Professional Certification in at least one relevant Project Management Technique (Prince2 or PMI) or SAFe POPM preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant working experience (preferably at least 4-5 years of experience in a Product team setting).
- Strong product management experience/skills, with experience in product strategy, roadmap planning, and product lifecycle management.
- Customer Experience Obsession: Start with the customer and work backward.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ready to present to C-level.
- Good knowledge of DHL Express' end-to-end process.
- Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders across all business functions in Express.
- Proven experience with small, medium, or large-scale projects or program planning or management experience.
- Proven experience with working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and propose solutions.
- Regional or global experience is advantageous.
