MC today serves more than 70,000 beneficiaries through more than 70 programmes across five Services, which include Disability, Early Intervention for Children, Family, Seniors' Community, and Therapy.
The Programme Executive (High Needs Wing) plays a key role in delivering the THK Bloom Enabling Skills for Life Programme (ESLP) for trainees with higher support needs (Support Level 3 and 4) at the Geylang Bahru campus.
This role focuses primarily on functional skills training under the NOURISH curriculum, as well as the design and facilitation of structured engagement and activity-based learning opportunities that promote independence, emotional regulation, participation, and overall well-being.
The Programme Executive (High Needs Wing) will work closely with Programme Assistants, Allied Health Professionals, and the Social Work team to support trainees through Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), Instrumental ADLs (IADLs), social-emotional learning, and meaningful engagement, within a safe, structured, and predictable environment.
Deliver and facilitate daily NOURISH functional training sessions for trainees with high support needs, focusing on:
+ Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
+ Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs)
+ Communication and functional language
+ Social-emotional learning and self-regulation
+ Community living and participation skills (as appropriate) Adapt lesson delivery and expectations based on each trainee's support needs, abilities, and learning profile.
Work closely with Programme Assistants to:
+ Prepare lesson materials and visual supports
+ Set up training environments
+ Ensure consistency in routines and expectations Monitor trainees' participation and engagement, and update relevant documentation to support Individualised Development Plan (IDP) tracking.
Design, plan, and facilitate structured engagement activities that promote:
+ Attention and participation
+ Sensory regulation
+ Physical movement and exercise
+ Social interaction and cooperative play
+ Enjoyment and quality of life Develop activities that allow trainees to practise NOURISH skills in functional, meaningful contexts, rather than task-based or productivity-driven work.
Collaborate with Allied Health Professionals to ensure activities are:
+ Therapeutically appropriate
+ Aligned with behavioural and sensory strategies
+ Safe and suitable for trainees with higher needs
Trainee Support & Behavioural Implementation
Build strong, respectful, and trusting relationships with trainees through consistent and empathetic engagement.
Support the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies in daily programming.
Work with assigned keyworkers and AHPs to:
+ Implement behavioural and engagement strategies
+ Observe and document behavioural patterns
+ Flag concerns early for MDT discussion Provide structured supervision and guidance to trainees to promote emotional safety and predictability.
Caregiver & Team Collaboration
Support caregiver engagement efforts when required (e.g. briefings, activities, events).
Participate actively in multidisciplinary discussions, contributing programme observations to support IDP development and review.
Work closely with Management Team to ensure programmes are delivered in line with ESLP intent and timelines.
Administration & Operations
Perform routine administrative duties including attendance tracking, materials inventory, and audit preparation.
Assist in the maintenance and organisation of training spaces (classrooms, kitchens, gardens, and hospitality rooms).
Participate in programme improvement initiatives, team meetings, and centre-wide events.
Work with external partners (e.g., volunteers) and parties where necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Diploma
Prior experience in teaching, training, or working with adults with disabilities is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of vocational or life skills training environments preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
