Job Description

Reporting to the Project Manager, this position exists to support Project Control section of the vessel repair/ conversion/ new building jobs, including general and detailed "On-site" responsibilities Reporting to the Project Manager, this position exists to support Project Control section of the vessel repair/ conversion/ new building jobs, including general and detailed 'On-site' responsibilities and administrative requirements, throughout the entire project life cycle. Responsibilities Accountable for the provision of all Project Control activities, including systems & processes required to support the Project that will cover: Planning (structure, logic, progress, etc.), Cost Control Management, Risk Management, Management of Change, & Variation Management. Accountable for the management and control of the Planning, Scheduling and Progress Management process Accountable for the provision of integration between the planning and cost functions especially regarding progress analysis and reporting Accountable for the management and control of the Cost Engineering & Variation order estimating processes Accountable for the provision, revision control and custodianship of the project schedules Planning Accountable for developing Level 3 schedule to Project WBS Accountable for progress measurement and reporting Accountable for float management and reporting Accountable for sensitivity and critical path analysis Cost Control Management Accountable for preparing the Monthly Cost Report Contract Value after commencement date Pending/ Potential Changes Actual Cost - Invoiced to date Forecast Cost at Completion Management of Change Provides guidance of actions to be taken in ensuring Project change is appropriately captures, evaluated & managed Accountable for ensuring approved change is incorporated into the schedule and cost reports Accountable for Variation Order Register and maintenance Risk Management Accountable for adopting and managing an active risk management process ensuring threats and opportunities to the contract are identified and are maintained as the scope matures and the risk profile develops Collates Project R&O Register from project internal stakeholders and arranges project Risk Workshop Overall custodian of the Project RIsk & Opportunity Register Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Marine/ Engineering/ Electrical/ Mechanical, or related disciplines Minimum 3 or more years of working experience in marine/ offshore related industry Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken) Advanced user of Microsoft Office products and project management software programmes Able to climb up and down vessel and rig structures Good working knowledge of new building, risk and change management and project management Good knowledge of Engineering, Procurement, Project controls and Construction work processes Proven track records of delivering projects within time and budget in a similar industry Good knowledge and experience in relevant marine and offshore legislations, inspection standards, class rules requirements and industry codes
