Project Engineer (Dynamic Positioning)

• A system that automatically maintains a vessel\'s position and heading by using its own propellers and thrusters.
• Allows operations at sea, where mooring and anchoring is not possible or desirable, and is a key technology enabling the transition to offshore wind energy.
• Enable offshore wind farms and maritime.
• Focus on Dynamic Positioning (DP) software deliveries.
• Both software tasks in the office and traveling in vessels worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Extensive world-wide travel is required (South-East Asia, Oceania and possibly other part of the world)
• To be a mentor and serve as a role model for the other engineers in the department.
• Coordinate and follow up with vendors and sub-contractors on the progress of project development.
• A team player who can work in a team and together with other project participants at various sites.
• Liaison between customers and main office on all aspects of pre-commissioning/ commissioning, maintenance and operation of systems.
• Maintain open communication with various expertise from Head office and continuously finding ways to improve, innovate and effectively managed product and projects.
• Dynamic positioning Software commissioning on board vessels.

• Participate in installation and commissioning including CAT (Customer Acceptance Test).
• Dynamic positioning Software engineering in office.

• Prepare for and participate in IAT (Internal Acceptance Test) and FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).
• Production of project documentation, i.e. design documents and procedures.
• Participate in meetings, internal and external.
• Required to undertake ad-hoc duties which may be assigned from time-to-time

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Marine or Mechatronics
• On Job Training will be provided
