Main Role and Responsibilities

Planning and Design of Electrical engineering works for building services projects to deliver buildable design within a timely manner, and economical service to meet client's requirement. Incumbent must influence across services without formal authority and manage the success of projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design of electrical services such as sub-station, small power, lighting, security system, data cabling, public address system etc. Presentation of design concept report to client. Preparation of M&E cost estimate base on approved design scheme. Preparation of technical specifications and tender documentation. Co-ordination of M&E services within the office. Reviewing of shop drawings, material submissions and handle RFIs. Verification of Work Progress and Variation Order for progress claim. Liaise with main contractor, architect, authorities to ensure technical compliance and timely completion of project. Carry out site investigation survey and submitting of technical reports. Project Management from pre-development through to completion, including the following

Design development and co-ordination


Attend site meetings, technical meetings etc to resolve technical issues.


Following up with authorities on submissions, inspection and issuance of certification.

Prerequisites

Degree in Electrical Engineering At least 3 years' hands-on experience in design in an engineering consultancy firm for degree holder. Candidates with professional engineer registration would be considered for senior position. Experience in handling full cycle of building service projects and proven track record with strong background in Electrical Design. Good understanding of Singapore Code of Practice and authority submission process. Confident and have strong presentation & communication skills * Able to work independently as well as in a team setting
