This position works alongside with the Project Manager in a joint Capital Investment and Technology development Project to establish a Technology Translation Centre (Carbon Capture and Utilisation Translational Testbed) on Jurong Island. The job scope encompasses project development and management of the engineering life-cycle from project initialization, early phase planning to construction and commissioning using the Front-End Loading (FEL) project methodology. ISCE2 is looking for a highly self-driven and meticulous individual who has the strong ability to multi-task, has good time management skills and understand the interactions between different disciplines to deliver results under tight timelines. The candidate will be working on an exciting project which aims to integrate state-of-the-art modular production technology and digitalisation to realise a first-in-class flexible production and technology translation platform in Singapore with a potential development pathway towards a Project Manager in future.
Key Accountabilities
Work with Project Manager and/or Project Leads to define and develop project scope with internal and external stakeholders to establish communication plans, build project schedules and establish clear project deliverables and milestones.
Coordinate, organise and control project engineering elements and disciplines to achieve investment cost-effectiveness and plant operability and efficiency.
Ensure and drive successful delivery of project scope and targets while managing project risk, quality, delivery, scope, schedule, and budget.
Ability to demonstrate a good level of understanding of technical/engineering processes in managing the project development with the project teams and manage and tie-in interfaces between the key disciplines in the project
Coordinate, organise and control project engineering elements and disciplines to achieve investment cost-effectiveness and plant operability and efficiency.
Manage preparation of FEL engineering, design and as-built documentation and capital appropriation requests
Perform, coordinate or oversee generation of engineering designs, specifications, drawing, instructions/documentation and cost estimations
Perform or oversee drafting of tender documents and evaluate tender bids
Drive design / process validation testing and ensure compliance to project lifecycle governance requirements
Interact with industry members and ensure effective communication throughout the project life cycle
Support business development in capturing business opportunities
Job Requirements
Bachelor \xe2\x80\x98s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in related Chemical, Mechanical and Automation Engineering or other related engineering fields.
With 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience.
Project engineering experience in small-medium sized capital investment projects in the process and chemical industry
Possess the technical appreciation to align all related disciplines of process, mechanical, electrical and automation, civil, structural and architecture (CSA) and understand their interfaces
Possess strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and organization skills
Confident to communicate at all levels of technicality (basic to complex)
Ability to apply strategic thinking in debottlenecking and de-risking project tasks
Self-driven and meticulous individual who has the strong ability to multi-task and has good time management skills to deliver results under tight timelines
Possess broad knowledge on engineering principles, manufacturing, operations, industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements
