Senior Engineer - Project Management

We are seeking a

Senior Engineer - Project Management

to join a leading energy solutions provider in Southeast Asia. This role is crucial for the successful

planning and execution of power generation projects

.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight:

Taking charge of project management duties to ensure all key milestones are met on schedule.

Scheduling & Monitoring:

Creating and overseeing the master project schedule, closely monitoring execution milestones to keep projects on track.

Coordination & Liaison:

Acting as the primary point of contact, coordinating and liaising with internal teams (sales, engineering, production, customer service, scheduler) and external parties (customers, distributors, main contractors, consultants, subcontractors) for seamless project implementation.

Customer & Distributor Engagement:

Leading and coordinating Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) with customers and distributors, and scheduling/coordinating on-site testing for a smooth handover to the aftermarket team.

Documentation Management:

Ensuring all project documentation is agreed upon, endorsed for delivery, and managing submittals for approval, including support for third-party product drawings.

Technical Support:

Providing first-level technical support during project execution.

Feasibility & Costing:

Collaborating with the engineering team on project feasibility studies and assisting the Industrial Solutions team with project cost estimations related to project management activities.

Reporting:

Submitting monthly project status reports, highlighting key issues or concerns regarding delivery and milestones.

Site Management:

Overseeing site installation work, ensuring completion within stipulated timelines, and coordinating with subcontractors on site installations, drawings, and material submittals.

Collaboration:

Working closely with interplant associates on deliveries, factory tests, and project documentation, and attending weekly project/site meetings as needed.

Continuous Improvement:

Participating in continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

with at least

2-3 years of relevant experience

, OR

Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

with

5-7 years of relevant experience

. Strong interpersonal skills, along with excellent oral and written communication abilities. The ability to read and interpret Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) drawings is essential. Familiarity with generators, their controls, associated equipment, accessories, and relevant generator standards and codes will be a significant advantage.
