The Project Engineer will play a critical role in supporting the sales team, ensuring successful project execution, and providing technical expertise related to piping, modular fastening systems and equipment.
This role will require interaction with clients, managing documentation, developing Material Take-Off (MTO) based on General Arrangement (GA) drawings from CAD or PDF, and providing on-site training and supervision when needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Technical Support
Provide technical support to the sales team by assisting with product specifications, clarifying technical aspects of piping, modular fastening systems, equipment and addressing client queries.
Collaborate with the sales team to tailor solutions and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
2. Develop Material Take-Off (MTO) from GA Drawings
Extract and develop accurate MTOs based on General Arrangement drawings from CAD or PDF formats, ensuring that all materials are accounted for and accurately specified for tender submission, and thereafter, for purchase upon successful award of project.
3. Client Team Training and Supervision
Conduct training sessions for client's project teams on the proper installation of piping and modular fastening systems.
Provide on-site supervision and guidance, where necessary, to ensure that installations meet technical standards and project requirements.
4. Participation in Project Discussions
Participate in project meetings to provide technical insight and support the successful execution of projects.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all project milestones and deliverables are met on schedule.
5. Quotations for Ad-hoc Items
Prepare and submit quotations for ad-hoc items requested by clients or the project team for on-going projects.
6. Documentation and Submission
Prepare and submit technical documentation, including but not limited to Installation and Logistics Support (ILS) documentation, project reports, and progress updates.
Ensure that all required documentation is completed in accordance with project timelines and client specifications.
7. Miscellaneous Tasks
Assist with any other project-related tasks or administrative duties as required. This may include coordinating with suppliers, following up on material deliveries, or assisting with project documentation updates.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
A degree or diploma in
Mechanical Engineering
,
Marine Engineering
, or a related field.
Minimum
1-2 years of experience
in a project engineering role, preferably in the marine/offshore or oil and gas industry.
Experience in
piping systems
,
modular fastening systems
, or related technologies is preferred.
Familiarity with
General Arrangement (GA) drawings
and
Material Take-Off (MTO)
processes is a plus.
Strong technical and analytical skills
with a problem-solving mindset.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining
attention to detail

Proficient in
Microsoft Office

AutoCAD and 3D softwares
Excellent communication skills
