Qualifications:

3-5 years of hands-on experience with network OR server equipment such as servers, vmware, switches, firewalls, wireless, voice, security, and storage solutions etc Any relevant network OR server certification such as CCNA, CCMP, VMware certification etc. Ability to read engineering drawings (network design documents, rack elevation diagrams) Knowledge of a broad range of network infrastructure cable types and best practices. Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential with the ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments. Customer Service skills will be an asset Some travel may be required Strong written and oral communication skills Strong Excel skills a requirement

What will you be doing?

The Project Engineer will be responsible for working very closely with the Integration Engineers to assist with the physical and logical build requirements of a project. The expectation is to assist in managing the project, documentation, and training for the team to effectively execute customer requirements.

Responsibilities

Promotes the World Wide Technology Core Values and Corporate Goals

+ Support a unified management team that balances operations and culture.
+ Embrace and master the concepts of the Integrated Management and Leadership principles driven by World Wide Technology.
+ Inspire those they work with by cultivating a culture in line with WWT, that favors the Core Values and employee development.

Assist in delivering customer requirements for projects in the integration centers.

+ Collaborate with Program Managers, Global Order Operations, and Logistics to support established business.
+ Extract information from customer documentation and ensure that it is produced to customer standards.
+ Configuration of multiple vendor networking, wireless, and collaboration devices.
+ Configuration of core network storage and server technologies based on program needs.
+ Diagnose and resolve physical and logical configuration issues.
+ Develop project timelines regarding the technical execution of the solution within the Integration Centers (IC).
+ Validate the physical and systematic processing of material.
+ Document the "hands-on" build process with the project team.
+ Perform QC checks to validate physical and logical configuration requirements.
+ Guide lab technicians in training and following Integration Center processes and best practices.
+ Communicate project status to both internal and external stakeholders on a continuous basis.
