It involves engaging with the investee's management and board of directors on various issues that may affect the long-term value and performance of the company, such as strategy, governance, risk management, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors, and capital allocation.Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and maintaining Temasek's voting guidelines, policy, and platform.
  • Assist in coordination and managing voting escalations.
  • Conduct research, analysis and benchmarking on emerging governance and stewardship trends, best practices, risks, and opportunities and their implications for long-term value creation.
  • Support set up of database documenting context and deliberation of voting guidelines in different jurisdictions (Singapore, US, China, EMEA, and India).
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations on our stewardship activities and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing degree in International Relations, Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Accounting or related fields
  • Relevant experience in proxy voting or investment stewardship or public policy or compliance would be a plus
  • Keen interest in corporate governance laws, regulations, and standards in Singapore, EU, and the US and developments in these areas is preferred.
  • Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders.
