As

Project Manager - BESS Development & Origination

, you will be responsible for leading early-stage project identification, structuring, and commercial closing of BESS projects internationally. This role requires integrating technical, commercial, and financial perspectives to deliver bankable projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and assess new BESS project opportunities in target markets. Lead technical-commercial due diligence (grid interconnection, permits, land acquisition, environmental assessments). Develop financial and risk models with internal finance teams to evaluate project economics. Support RFP/RFQ processes and prepare competitive proposals. Negotiate PPAs, EPC contracts, supply agreements, and O&M/LTSA. Engage with investors/lenders to secure financing and support due diligence. Ensure projects are de-risked and positioned for successful execution at financial close. Liaise with regulators, utilities, and customers during origination and closing phases.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in renewable energy project development, with at least 3 years in

utility-scale BESS

. Strong knowledge of international permits, interconnection, and regulatory approval processes. Proven track record in achieving

financial close

of energy infrastructure projects. Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Bachelor's degree in

engineering, economics, or energy systems

; MBA or finance background preferred.
