Job Description

Surbana Technologies is seeking a resourceful and organised Junior Project Manager to support the delivery of integrated ICT and Built Environment projects.
This role involves managing and coordinating multiple subcontractors across disciplines, including structured cabling, BMS, security systems, and other digital infrastructure. The candidate must have strong planning and foresight skills, as project components are interdependent and must be delivered in a carefully sequenced manner.
Key Responsibilities:

• Support the planning and execution of ICT systems integration projects in the built environment, including structured cabling, building automation, and surveillance infrastructure.

• Coordinate and manage multiple subcontractors, ensuring alignment of project deliverables, dependencies, and timelines.

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, identifying interdependencies and potential conflicts between subcomponents.

• Facilitate regular coordination meetings with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and progress tracking.

• Monitor project status, identify risks early, and support resolution planning with minimal impact to overall timelines.

• Ensure compliance with site protocols, safety standards, and quality expectations at all times.

• Prepare and maintain project documentation such as progress reports, minutes of meeting, schedules, and handover materials.

• Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities across relevant systems and disciplines.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, or a related field.

• 13 years of experience in project coordination or junior project management roles, preferably involving ICT and built environment components.

• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and subcontractors, and to anticipate how delays in one area may impact others.

• Familiarity with project planning tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent.

• Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of operating independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Understanding of smart building systems, BMS, or ICT infrastructure implementation.

• Exposure to large-scale infrastructure or campus-type environments.

• Certification in PMP, CAPM, or PRINCE2 is an advantage.
