Project Manager - 12-month contract

Job Title: IT Project Manager - Applications & Systems

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the implementation of IT projects, particularly in support of application systems and industry-specific platforms. Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with organizational goals. Develop and manage detailed project plans; coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery. Communicate project progress, status, and risks to stakeholders, including senior management. Build strong stakeholder relationships and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Lead, motivate, and coordinate cross-functional project teams. Ensure operational excellence of business systems, establishing measurable performance metrics. Oversee vendor performance and ensure adherence to SLAs. Review technical designs and system architecture for enhancements and incident resolutions. Drive issue resolution for escalated technical and business concerns. Ensure system availability, resilience, and continuous improvement. Manage budgets, contract renewals, and technology planning. Support compliance and audit readiness in collaboration with governance teams. Work closely with infrastructure and cloud teams to ensure systems are well-supported in hybrid environments.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field. PMP, CSM, or other relevant project management certifications preferred. Proven experience in designing and implementing complex IT systems and architectures. Strong understanding of application development lifecycle, modernization, and cloud integration. Experience with regulatory and compliance standards in IT systems. Effective stakeholder and vendor management skills. Strong communication skills, with experience engaging senior leadership. Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and align IT initiatives with business objectives. * Experience in managing or maintaining custom-built IT systems is advantageous.
