The Role
SK8 Engineering is seeking an
experienced Project Manager
to lead end-to-end project execution for high-performance engineering solutions, primarily serving mission-critical diesel generator and acoustic enclosure projects for world-leading data centres. This role requires strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive project delivery from planning to commissioning.
The Project Manager will work within the Engineering team and report to the Head of Engineering. This is a hybrid work environment with flexible opportunities to work from home once a week. Frequent travel to Malaysia is required for this role (transport and accommodation will be provided).
Key Responsibilities
Lead project execution, determine key milestones, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Manage project scope across supply, design, delivery, installation, and commissioning phases.
Implement and enforce
MRO standards
to ensure compliance with industry and internal requirements.
Prepare and present project plans, change requests, and documentation for both client approval and internal records.
Coordinate with stakeholders (owners, designers, contractors) to ensure smooth execution and alignment.
Work with business leadership and cross-functional teams to develop contracting strategies and project deliverables.
Lead or participate in
Lean/Continuous Improvement activities
(e.g., 3P, Kaizen, Rate Readiness).
Apply technical expertise and sound judgment in data analysis and decision-making.
Competency Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in project management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and other relevant software.
Strong knowledge of project management, cost control, contract and quality management.
