Job description Nuevocor is a pre-clinical stage biopharmaceutical start-up dedicated to developing gene therapies to treat the underlying cause of genetic cardiomyopathies. Backed by an international syndicate of reputable venture capital firms, it will focus on advancing its lead program to clinical trials. It will also leverage its platform technology, underpinned by a deep understanding of cardiac cell biology and novel cardiotropic viral vectors, to discover and develop therapies for genetic cardiomyopathies. As the Project Manager, you will play a key role in managing the timelines and coordinating resources for the various projects and workstreams under the umbrella of Nuevocor\xe2\x80\x99s Discovery Program. This will require coordinating closely with Program\xe2\x80\x99s R&D team members, scientific advisors and collaborators. Your role will require you to interact closely with Nuevocor\xe2\x80\x99s Senior Director of Discovery and various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and integrate communications and activities across the entire suite of discovery activities, including with CROs and collaborators, ensuring alignment on overall Program goals, milestones, standards, timelines, and resources.
• Lead the selection, contracting, setup and operational liaising and coordination with CROs .
• Support discovery activities as part of a team for Nuevocor\xe2\x80\x99s gene therapy programmes using project management tools.
• Ensures necessary communication within the project team (meetings, reporting) and coordinates interfaces outside of the project team with core team members, steering team members and stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with and report project progress to all key stakeholders including advisors, consultants and collaborators, escalating key issues and risks for the project.
• Closely monitor/control project progression to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meeting standards.
• Supports the technical team to investigate any project challenges with necessary risk assessment tools and techniques, then implements corrective measures.
• Evaluates and assesses project results and provides recommendations for future improvement as part of a continuous improvement effort.
• Responsible for joint steering team for meeting project objectives, as required.
  

Qualifications expected

• Degree in Biological Sciences or related fields is required.
• PMP or equivalent certification is desired.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in technical project management, operations with CROs or collaboration partners is required.
• Experience in industry on coordinating discovery programs is preferred.
• Experience in outsourcing and overseeing non-clinical studies conducted by qualified CROs is preferred.
• Should possess general understanding of how research activities are conducted such as in areas of molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology.
• Should have functional knowledge in PM software such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet.
• Should have functional knowledge in agile methodologies, precedence diagramming, mind mapping, and alternatives analysis.
• Evidence of project management leadership ability is required.
