Job Description

School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) is seeking enthusiastic individuals with exceptional credentials to join a vibrant and dynamic research group as Project Manager who will be undertaking fundamental research into eVTOL Technologies. The work is carried out at the eVTOL Research and Innovation Centre in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The environment provides excellent training in a highly motivated working environment with state-of-the-art facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

The Project Manager will take on the role of overseeing the eVTOL project at the centre and support the lead PI (principal investigator) in the management of the centre. He/she will own the entire project lifecycle management of the project and will be the leader in managing complex, fast pace projects with high values.

Lead and be responsible for project progress tracking and work with PIs to meet project schedules and deliverables.

Plan, develop project ideas and formulate directions for the centre

Oversee and manage all aspects of eVTOL project and with industry stakeholders (progress, finance, budget, reports, etc.)

Lead and be responsible for industry engagement (finding opportunities, negotiations, RCA/NDA/MOU, budgeting, progress and finance tracking, etc.)

Work with PI to ensure quality of research and outputs from project, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.

Research grant management and reporting to funding agency, governance, closing and other activities.

Assist in organizing meetings, technical workshops, social events, etc.

Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the centre director

Job Requirements:

A recognized Degree in relevant areas.

Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in project management

Proficient in MS Office applications and other project planning software,

Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Pleasant and friendly personality with good interpersonal skills to liaise with and work collaboratively within the team and with a varsity of stakeholders.

Highly organized, responsible, self-motivated, positive attitude and able to multi-task well.

Able to undertake overseas travel at last minute request

Able to handle sensitive matters with tact and discretion, while building trust and upholding confidentiality

Able to work under stress
