Contract Role for 12 Month (with conversion to permanent if suitable) Working Location: Jurong Island, Seraya Avenue Working Hours: 44 Hour per week (Monday-Friday, but will include Sat at various phase of project) Monthly Salary: $7000-$9000 Entitled for 1-month AWS for each year of service(If contract) Entitled for 1-month AWS + Variable(If converted to Permanent/Permanent) What\xe2\x80\x99s the role? The Assistant / Project Manager (Depend on your seniority) will oversee project management of brownfield (and perhaps greenfield) through efficient and effective use of resources, within budget and schedule.
Contract length: 12 months Pay: $7,000.00 - $9,000.00 per month Schedule:
- You will have previous experience as a mechanical engineer.
- You will have experience in End to End of entire project life cycle (including read drawings, challenge the design, knowing the risk and finding the error in tech specs)
- Ability to spearhead and implement projects to completion
- Responsible for all project activities, including cost management, project schedule and engineering design
- Ensure smooth progress and completion of projects within approved budget, time, acceptable quality standards, in a safe manner as well as in line with the applicable local law
- Oversee detailed design and construction of projects
- Setting up project related cost control structure for monitoring, steering & reporting purposes via SAP
- Prepare monthly project updates / reports Review and verify contractor proposed design (P&IDs) according to customers\xe2\x80\x99 requirements, international standards and requirement including compliance with statutory codes and corporate guidelines
- Ensure proper integration of P&IDs designs during execution, testing and commissioning phases to achieve targeted datelines
- Engage in detailed engineering design for optimization of system with Contractors
- Manage design processes including consultant appointments and performance
- Manage and coordinate pre-consultations and approvals with regulatory authorities
- Provide engineering support (including proposals) for new and upgrading projects
- Provide technical guidance to Operations and Maintenance teams
- Budgetary and detailed costing preparation for capital expenditures
- Liaise with respective government authorities and obtain all necessary approvals
- Engage in pre-tender exercise for selection of contractors and critical equipment Prepare tender documents and evaluate tender submissions
- Provide project feasibility study, scope finalization, cost estimation, funding approval request, and contract strategy for brownfield (and greenfield) projects
- Communicate effectively with direct superior, all staff, contractors, consultants, and suppliers
- Actively participate in both internal and external meetings in the capacity to facilitate the projects/proposals of concern
- Any other duties as assigned by the Management from time to time
- Must legal authorized to work in Singapore without work/employment visa sponsorship requirement.
- Must holding Class 3 manual driving license
- Excellent in Engineering skills (to be able to conceptualize on design, carry out review of Eng. drawings, calculations, etc.)
- Project Managements Skill (including project planning, negotiation, cost control etc.) with strong customer focus
- Stakeholder management & engagement skill (ensure effective communication and liaison with clients, contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities for project delivery)
- Professional degree holder in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable University
- Preferably 3 years related experience for APM position and 5 years related experience for PM position
- Those without relevant qualifications but with minimum 10 years of relevant experience may also apply
- Preferably with an EPC contractor employment background in the oil & gas industry / plant construction
- Hands-on with site work experience is preferred
- Demonstrates strong leadership and management capability in driving projects\xe2\x80\x99 success
- Demonstrated project success track records
- Conversant with local codes, regulations, and standards
- Familiar with international codes of practices (e.g., API, SS, NFPA etc.)
- Have a good working knowledge of the Building Control Acts and the requirements for TOP/CSC
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, SAP, and AutoCAD
