The Asian School of the Environment (ASE) invite applications for a Project Officer to help with admin duties the Tropical Ecology & Entomology Lab at ASE.
The successful candidate will join the Forest Ecology group at ASE working under Asst. Prof. Eleanor Slade, joining a vibrant, international scientific department.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with the day-to-day running of the Lab e.g. ordering equipment, assisting with invoicing, managing the lab website and Dropbox, writing SOPs
Helping with outreach activities e.g. website, blogs, video diaries, Flickr
Curating the samples and specimens held in the lab
Using the digital auto-montage to photograph specimens
Helping with lab and fieldwork in Singapore
Job Requirements:
Bachelor of Science or related discipline
Knowledge of Excel, Word and databasing software e.g. Access
Experience managing websites and writing blogs.
Willingness to learn new techniques and skills
Enthusiasm, good team work and collaboration
Preferably with prior experience in administrative duties, managing websites and writing blogs and with the admin systems used by NTU e.g. Concur, Ariba, RISE
Experience and enthusiasm for working within a diverse group
Good English oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently
