The marketing team, also known as the Employer Brand and Talent Attraction (EBTA) team, is based in 10 countries and you will work with some of the most experienced, fun-loving and dedicated marketing professionals we know! The EBTA team at Shell are responsible for ensuring that Shell is viewed as the #1 Employer of Choice for talent. This includes attraction campaigns through numerous channels, digital technologies, branding, communications, innovations, events and much more. You will be part of the Global Programmes team. The Programmes team is the owner of owned digital channels, the candidate experience, engagement programmes, marketing operations and the employee value propositions for different businesses. What’s your role? This fixed term role is expected to help in the set-up, support the hyper-care phase and enable delivery of new ways of working in EBTA. These key elements in your role, in the campacity of a PMO will be:
  • A centralized triaging system for all marketing activities across all the markets, to establish CoE support and natural teams against each activity
  • Establishing a quarterly business review system in EBTA for all business delivery, external agencies and brand activations.
  • Establishing a planning cycle – Annual and Quarterly.
  • Establishing a compliant and disciplined finance system for EBTA to ensure all vendor contracting and payouts, against the planned budget
You will enjoy getting in-depth understanding of the EBTA team’s goals. You will be a champion of great project management behaviours and you will be the person in the team who encourages teams to stay on track through your communications, planning tools and stakeholder management. You will also be an ambassador for operational excellence helping the organisation with best practices, upskilling and world-class toolkits. At a strategic level, you will work closely with and reports to the Global Programmes Lead, to ensure the success of the EBTA team plans. Accountabilities A centralized triaging system for all marketing activities: Working with the Marketing Advisors in EBTA (who are in charge of the in-market plan delivery) to manage a central log of marketing activities, where each activity then requires a break-down into sub-steps through form of a Gantt chart and RACI against each step. This ensures that triage can be done on each activity across every market within the 3 Centers of Excellence in EBTA, ensuring delivery. Establishing a quarterly business review system in EBTA: In 2022, EBTA is refreshing and re-establishing an intensive Quarterly Business Review process that covers delivery against each business clusters talent demand, vendors and centrally led projects. The person in this role will support the Programmes Lead set-up the QBR performance measurement templates, coordinate with stakeholders to set-up calendar invites for the 10+ QBR sessions every quarter, and coordinate to ensure that the pre-work for each QBR and post-QBR actions are logged, mapped to individuals and delivered as per commitment. Establishing a planning cycle – Annual and Quarterly: EBTA is establishing a clear planning calendar for marketing activities – quarterly planning to take into account new demand and business requirements, annual planning in Sept, Oct and Nov for the coming year. The role of the Contractor would be to coordinate the quarterly planning (including pre-work and mapping resultant action) and coordinate for the complex annual planning in Sep, Oct and Nov. Establishing a compliant and disciplined finance system for EBTA: The role will support the newly formed role of the Channels Advisor within the programmes team, in ensuring compliant financial activities and overall budget management. Specifically, the contractor will work support the localized small payment coordination by Marketing Advisors in the markets, where the maximum errors or delays occur. The volume of these payments run into several hundreds through the course of the year, across several categories, such as storage, logistics, events, creative agencies, photography, etc. The contractor will provide support for events related payments (especially, since post-Covid restrictions are lifting, the volume of events in pipeline has exponentially grown). REQUIREMENTS What you will need in your toolkit. You’ll need as many of the following as possible in your profile:
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Process Governance and PMO skills
  • Experience in Marketing (required); Minimum of 2 years.
  • Experience in coordinating for projects/ complex campaigns.
  • Experience in working across virtual teams and multiple stakeholders.
  • Planning, reporting and presentation skills for senior leadership.
