Job Description

My client is a FMCG conglomerate with multiple businesses across the organisation, including a Supply Chain arm. With the setup of this new business unit, they are looking for a Project Specialist to develop and drive the overall planning, implementation, control and completion of the supply chain network design projects to drive growth and delivery of the business unit.

Responsibilities:

• Lead project planning, managing scope, deliverables, resources, costs, and timelines.
• Customize flexible delivery approaches for specific business challenges.
• Identify stakeholders, address concerns, and create effective communication plans.
• Manage relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, including mid to senior management.
• Negotiate implementation costs, track finances, and allocate costs to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Business Insights for metrics and reporting alignment.
• Present regular status reports, progress, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Develop change management plans, offer training, and address queries.
• Ensure project quality, governance, and transparent communication.
• Manage changes to project plans, scope, and documentation.

Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 8 - 10 years of project management experience in supply chain network & optimisation for retail / FMCG / e-commerce industries.
• Prior experience in transformational projects within Supply Chain and/or Logistics.
• Strong grasp of end-to-end supply chain, including logistics, process improvement, and inventory.
• Proficient in project management methods, tools, and lean/six sigma.
• Champion of change with proven ability to handle complex projects and budgets.
• Skilled in clear reporting, documentation, and communication across stakeholders.
• Organized, multitasking problem-solver with attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Preferred certifications: supply chain (e.g. APICS), project management (PMP, Prince2)
