This role will be part of Saxo's exciting journey to bring our story and our offerings to more investors in Singapore. At Saxo ultimately everything we do as a company is focused on getting curious people to invest in the world by giving our clients more ways to make more of their money. You will, through strategic and creative storytelling, help further elevate our brand awareness in Singapore, strengthening Saxo's association with trading, investing and digital wealth management solutions.
In this role based out of our APAC hub in Singapore, you will be reporting directly to the Head of Marketing & Communications, Singapore with matrix reporting to Global Head of Communications & Earned Media (based in Copenhagen our HQ), and working closely with all local departments, in particular marketing, to drive holistic storytelling and brand building for us. Besides supporting major launches and key events, you will be responsible for ensuring Saxo is well-positioned in the media and our market comments as well as spokespeople are being featured regularly in key media titles.
Responsibilities:

• You are passionate about storytelling, and proactive in seeking out media opportunities and proposing ideas to support and drive local storytelling
• You will work closely with HQ Comms team to localize global PR strategy, and also support the global communications team on projects and tasks that support corporate communication and PR efforts (e.g. writing, proofreading, etc.)
• Design high impact PR and thought leadership initiatives and deliver strong results to support our storytelling and brand building in Singapore
• Lead the implementation of all local PR activities, including but not limited to on-site support for events involving media, proactive media pitching, managing inbound media requests, and ensuring consistency in coverage reporting
• You are a self-starter with discipline and motivation to drive timely outcomes with impactful work in a complex global organization
• You are a strong writer who can write anything from an interesting media pitch note and byline articles to LinkedIn post copy for spokespeople
• You enjoy networking with colleagues and reporters, and can navigate well across a diverse range of stakeholders in the organization
• You have a can-do spirit, growth mindset, and an open, curious and collaborative attitude
• As a member of the local team, you will also drive local engagement on internal communications channels and initiatives and contribute towards building a positive culture in the office by embracing Saxo's guiding principles.
• Possess an understanding of SEO and GEO and demonstrates the ability to pitch stories and narratives that best appeal to these algorithms.

Competence Requirement:

• Bachelors' degree or above, majors in PR, Communication or Marketing preferred but open to other related fields that demand strong writing and analytical skills (e.g. humanities, social sciences, legal, etc.)
• At least 2-3 yrs relevant experience in Communications and PR, in agency or in-house, or in a newsroom as a reporter or content writer, in Singapore market.
• Has experience managing PR agencies. Bonus if have experience in the region or across Asia.
• Used to working with a global team across timezones.
• An understanding or interest in financial markets.
• Excellent command of verbal and written English
• Have strong media relations, especially with tier one media in Singapore, have a healthy interest in news and what makes news, and a good understanding of general media, and consume information from a broad range of sources
