We are looking for a talented Purchasing Analyst to join our team in Tuas South, Singapore . This will be following Hybrid work model.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Works independently to update purchasing systems and coordinates approval and control of purchasing activities. Coordinates and assigns daily tasks to team members. Provides support to sourcing and finance teams globally.
  • Proactively contacts suppliers to maintain pertinent data, obtain needed documentation, and enable suppliers in purchasing systems.
  • Lead identification/resolution of minor supplier invoice and payment issues.
  • Support completion, closure, and recording activities for various contracts and other supplier documentation.
  • Prepare documentation for sourcing events.
  • Initiate and coordinate work delivering results in meeting cost, quality, delivery, and inventory goals.
  • Support/Coordinate supplier quality activities with supplier quality improvement engineers, suppliers, and category teams.
  • Liaison between purchasing teams and other functions.
  • Coordinate health safety and environmental awareness and improvement activities and daily tasks.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned. Identify tasks requiring completion.
  • Participate in Project teams, when necessary, to ensure effective implementation of change.
  • Communicate with the supplier and work with supplier to manage Project deliverables within agreed timelines.
  • Use common process tools and business systems to provide repeatable analytics and reporting.
  • Ensure data integrity of all purchasing information as it is created and deliver ongoing improvement of existing data.
  • Identify and implement improvements to business processes.
  • Global focus may be required.

  • Purchasing Systems - Recognizes linkage to multiple systems such as purchasing order, payment, engineering release, and quality systems; troubleshoots and corrects issues resulting from data issues; writes ad-hoc reports using tools within each application; identifies and documents work flows and system testing; actively participates in implementation process of new purchasing systems including requirements gathering, design, communication, and training.
Preferred Qualification
  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft office including excel, PowerPoint, and word required .
  • Prior purchasing systems experience preferred.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Compiling and managing Ariba ASN\'s and Cataloguing
  • Contract documentation for the region and ensure data accuracy, integrity and improvement for the region
  • Perform PR audit report quarterly for the region
  • Low complexity/risk sourcing work and contract development under supervision
  • Supports sourcing process and or may source assigned items and executes buying strategies in accordance with agreed sourcing strategy at the optimum cost.
  • Procures services and goods, inventory, supplies, and capital goods (CIP)
  • Competencies:
  • Sourcing: Utilizes the purchasing functional system to support the Request for Quote process and establish a Total Cost of Ownership comparison of suppliers based on the category strategy and define the supplier that is most likely to meet Cummins and customer\'s needs.
  • Language:
  • Proficiency in Korean and/or Japanese language will be added advantage.
