The Purchasing and Logistics Specialist will provide commercial and administrative back-office support for purchasing activities with limited supervision (including purchasing & logistics relating to order arrangement, pricing, vessel nomination, and coordinate with both internally and externally on related documentation and operational matters).

Key Responsibilities

Order Administration

• Taking, placing, and following orders (PO/CO) for raw materials administration activities in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Complete and update contract summaries.
• Maintain purchasing documents, files, and records for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Proactively coordinating with internal customers and suppliers to resolve routine purchasing supply issues; expedite outstanding purchasing orders to ensure delivery requirements are met.
• Processes financial data and documents for the purpose of supporting A/C departmental activities.

• Handle and resolve potential conflicts between the Group and 3rd parties (suppliers, customers, and shipping).
• Anticipate and mitigate logistical risks and take initiative in proposing alternative solutions to issues.

• Evaluate/Analyze current procurement activities and recommend improvement through ERP system and standardization.
• Update the changes to related business standard practices and interprets procedures to faculty.
• Reviewing and monitoring ERP data for all business units (Bulk, Container, and Feed Additives), liaison with the team for corrections in order to maintain completeness and accuracy of purchasing data.

• Liaise with the ERP consultant on the system functionality and business process questions for fix and resolution from a procurement perspective.
• Assisting ERP end-user with basic navigation questions and quickly addressing process and system problems.

• Diploma/Degree in International Trade/Supply Chain Management (minimum of 3 years sold experience in Agribusiness Trading Operations)
• Good working knowledge of Import/Export procedures, INCOTERMS, and International Trade is required.
• Familiar with documentation and order processing, a good understanding of procurement practices and procedures
• Familiar with MS Word & Excel (PivotTable, VLOOKUP, Match, Index functions)
• Strong attention to detail, organized, analytical mind, independent thinker, and good team player
• Initiative, willing to learn, and can work under pressure
• Knowledge of GAFTA will be an advantage
