Job Description

They are looking to onboard a Purchasing Manager to coordinate, organise and oversee all activities involved in identifying, acquiring, and inspecting purchases.

Responsibilities

• Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
• Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launch to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
• Ensure the purchasing team correctly source, identify and purchase the required goods at an acceptable quality and best competitive prices.
• Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to the consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
• Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase the efficiency of purchases for the company.
• Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
• Negotiates prices for raw materials and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.

Requirements

• Min. 3 years of proven experience in Purchasing / Procurement / Buyer functions within the Product Manufacturing / Contract Manufacturing industry.
• PO, BOM & Supplier Management experience is a must.
• Proven negotiation skills with ability in establishing and maintaining influential relationships with suppliers & vendors and deal with internal challenges
• Strong analytical skills including mathematics, statistics and problem solving.
• Accomplished Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to create and analyze reports, spreadsheets, and sales statistics, experience with SAP is a plus
• High energy, positive and problem-solving attitude; self-starter and proven ability to work in a team environment.
